We had a bad start in the hotel. We were given a key to a room with mice droppings and peeling paint. The receptionist had given us a key to the wrong block! Our actual room was good but definitely needs a re-fit. The staff seem to be very brusque but once you get used to them they are actually...

The Watsons This is one of the worst hotels we have been to, all inclusive is non existent the, food is awful and recycled. We were given a room that was dirty and shabby we had paid for a sea view and got a large crane obscuring it and also building work going on as well, complained and we were...

If you are looking for a budget hotel in Madeira then this is a great choice. It is in a good location in the Lido area close to shops and resteraunts. We travelled with First Choice so were on an All Inclisive basis and although there was not a vast choice in the resteraunt it was always well cooked and...

We had an all inclusive holiday at the beginning of March. The room was large, spotlessly clean, on 10th floor with morning sunshine and a great view across Funchal and the harbour. It was very quiet (as requested). The kitchenette was fine to make tea and coffee. Soap was provided in the somewhat tired bathroom, but no shampoo which is...

Hotel part of a complex of 3 hotels: the positive points: 3 swimming pools available, bar open till late and mostly all rooms with balcony. Negative points: location (a little bit outside the Marina and steepy road to go back to the hotel by foot) and clients mostly over 65 old (well I was there end of September, so maybe...

We have just returned from a stay at the Mimosa and enjoyed our time there. As other reviews have pointed out the food does leave something to be desired (from my wife's point of view, and that of at least one other guest, that something was potatoes!) but it is broadly OK and the service is very friendly. Our room...

Although the hotel gets some bad reviews we have used it many times and feel it is very good value for money. We chose the hotel because we like the location with its views towards Funchal, the friendly and helpful staff and the clean and comfortable rooms. We stay in the 3 star apartments on a bed and breakfast basis....
