Great experience, maybe could improve the breakfast and carpets. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Close to the sea and lots of nice restaurants around. Rooms very clean but the carpets on the corridors needs attention. Off season very nice quiet you can have swimming pool for yourself. The gym is not really a gym There's only 3 equipment but it...

We stayed at The Lince for 1 week at the start of March. We had a lovely time in Madeira. The hotel is in a great location. Yellow and Red bus stop is straight opposite. It is central to lots if restaurants and a bar across the road. Our room was nice. Clean and housekeeping came every day. Yes it...

Just back after 2 weeks at the Lince. We had a nice room on the 6th floor. Everything kept very clean. Marks on carpet not too noticeable. Otherwise carpet is good quality. Breakfast more than adequate with good choices. Didn't take other meals there, so can't comment. Free wifi, safe, fridge and A/C. Only maked it down from 5 as...

Little gem of a place. Managed to get a room here after we were unable to leave Funchal due to heavy winds. Very nice hotel, very comfortable rooms. Reception staff were very helpful and customer service skills were excellent. The location was spot on. Restaurants and supermarkets on your doorstep. Would recommend.

The Lince Hotel, situated in the Lido area, perfect for good restaurants, there's a 2 star michelin restaurant at The Cliff Bay Hotel. A 30 minute walk into the centre of town. Walk back is a little strenuous up the hill, but plenty of buses, taxis aren't expensive. Plenty of tours for the island start in this location as well.

After all the comments about the state of the carpets, which actually aren't that bad &, we suspect, are awaiting closure on who pays for the damage, we found the Lince to be a good hotel with polite & helpful staff, clean & tidy rooms, & an ideal location from which to explore both Funchal & the island generally. Booked the lince through a package holiday with monarch. Arrived 11.00ish and informed by Patricia that the room was not ready as yet. We expected this!she then contacted housekeeping who had our room ready in 10 minutes. The room was nice but noisy! We asked if we could be moved and although the hotel was full we were shown another...

In Madeira for one night only, my employer had booked me a room in this hotel, and I was quite satisfied. Nice and clean, though the carpets in the hallways need to be replaced. Large room with safe and fridge, balcony with an ocean view, a small but nice pool and pool area with a bar and a great view...

We stayed here for 11 days in January and will certainly be returning next January for our Annual Funchal Holiday. The Hotel is in a really good central position and is spotlessly clean and the staff are wonderful, They go out of their way to help you. We had a lovely surprise of a bottle of Bubbly on ice when...
