Although the king suite was exceptional, with a furnished balcony overlooking the sea, an abundance of towels, lovely big shower and comfortable bed, the outstanding feature of this guest house is the staff. Everyone was welcoming, especially Mario who went out of to way to assist us in any way, including carrying our heavy suitcase and calling a taxi. The included breakfast was sumptuous, as well as scrumptious and is served in the on-site restaurant, Zagalo’s.

A very lucky find, fantastic accommodation in a tranquil fishing town. Location, service, staff and view are first class. Enjoyed watching the locals bringing in the nets of fresh fish - Truely a community effort. Lovely walks on miles of quiet sandy beaches, sea was a bit rough for swimming, but loved by surfers! Will definitely return to this heavenly spot. Heidi & Daire Ireland

Very nice family run establishment! Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful, the room was spacious, and the view from our balcony room was fantastic! Having the option for an airport shuttle was an added plus (20 euros). Highly recommend staying at the A&Z if planning a stay in Espinho!

We cannot speak highly enough of A&Z Guesthouse.we stayed for 10 nights and wish we could have stayed 10 more. It is a true family run business and everything about it is 5 star.the staff are efficient, helpful and made us feel like part of the family from the first day.nothing is too much trouble to them.on arrival we asked to borrow an iron- when we returned to our room all our clothes were ironed and hung up in the wardrobe! It is spotlessly clean, which is not surprising as the staff are constantly cleaning everywhere. The location is superb, right on the Ocean front and the two front rooms have a balcony overlooking. The rooms are beautifully designed and just the right mix of traditional and modern. The matress was excellent and we slept very well (aided by the therapeautic sound of the ocean). There is a fully stocked mini bar and flat screen TV with all European stations. The breakfast is first class as is the home cooked food in the restaurant. We have no hesitation in recommending A&Z and will definitely be returning next year.

Our second stay at this outstanding Bed n Breakfast was just as perfect. Friendly and accommodating staff, impeccable cleanliness, ideal location, seafront view from the large balcony are just a few of the reasons we will keep returning.

What a fantastic location! Room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend walking the coastal path for 12 km or so. Also, markets on the Monday.
Wished we could have stayed longer. So nice to be able to sleep with the sounds of the ocean. When we return to Portugal we'll definitely stay here.
Thank you

You couldn't ask for more from a small hotel/guesthouse. The breakfast offered had a wide selection of fruit, cheese, meats Yoghurt and even offered to cook bacon and scrambled eggs. Unheard of in small hotels was the supply of various lactose free milk. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was good value for money offering a good fish selection as well as meat. Be warned the fish stew is huge. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends. We stayed in a junior suite which was small but perfect for us. The room was spotless, air conditioning very effective, superb shower and comfortable bed. All this topped of with being opposite a wonderful sandy beach.

We stumbled across the beautiful friendly family run establishment after a far to long walk of 20 km. We stayed for only one night the room was very clean with a magnificent view of the ocean which could be enjoyed from the balcony. The restaurant is also worth visiting to enjoy some freshly cooked food. We highly recommend this establishment. Thank you for making our stay extra special and washing all our dirty laundry.

Delicious breakfast buffet With wishable add ons as eggs, bacon etc. The guesthouse is located on the promenade towards the Beach. Inhouse Zigalo restaurant serves delicious Food.
