I have to say that this was a disappointment. The room was cold and dim, the bed was hard and small, and faint scent of kerosene (or something like it) lingered in the air. The food, both at breakfast and the additionally priced dinner, we plentiful but nothing special. The tour of the winery was interesting and thorough but unfortunately...

The place is very familiar and calm. Entering its rooms is like diving into the antique lives of its previous owners. Old furniture makes its rooms even more confortable. Tradition and hospitality are highlighted in this amazing place, where people welcome you home and try to serve you the best way possible. The owner is an old man who's very...

Unlike other luxury accommodations in the area, this quinta is the real thing for those seeking an authentic Douro experience. Family owned and operated literally means the family is giving you the tour and cooking your dinner. Accommodations are quaint and comfortable. The dogs were adorable and friendly. Great experience!

When asked what I enjoyed most about my trip to Portugal, my time at this Quinta will always be what I talk about first and what photos I show. This was an amazing, unique experience that I will not forget. I was not expecting luxury accommodations, we were on a farm...enough said! My accommodations were rustic and simple but clean...

Very welcoming owner/family. We visited at harvest time, and enjoyed the teachings from Cesar. Great harvest dinner, with house wines and port. Breakfast was delicious as well. Beautiful views, would stay again!

We had the small house for one night and could not wait to get out of there first thing in the morning. Uncomfortable, smelly and small. Beds were way too small. We looked onto machinery right out our door used for the grapes, then had a mound of grapes that had been out through the machinery dumped at our door....

The view from this Quinta was spectacular and the proprietor was a very enthusiastic host. Our dinner and wine tasting was well worth the 35 euros. The accomodations were basic, but a great value. The only concern is the property has three large dogs that roam around and may scare or bother some guests.

Wow! This place is a doozy. The pictures look incredible, but the place is really the absolute worst. We booked two nights but had to leave after one night because we felt so uncomfortable/unsafe. (1) There are 3 german shepherds roaming the property that were barking at us and made us feel extremely unsafe - they were literally in front...

We stopped in here for a wine tasting in mid May. A tour was not available but wine tastings were. Wine was very good especially the Sequeirinha Douro White (Rita Sequeirinha) and very affordable. Because the B&B was quiet we were allowed to enjoy our picnic lunch up on their patio area with fabulous views of the Douro River, and...

We stayed at this family owned small vineyard (total 5 rooms) near Peso da Régua. It's by no means 5 star, but place is clean and comfortable and the host very friendly. The offered dinner and vineyard tour is a must join item at 35 Euros each. Both food and wine were more than enough for us- each of us...
