The property us very charming, old feels but very well-maintained, the kind of place we like to stay. The garden is exceptional, and the place is surrounded by pretty vines. We had excellent restaurant recommendations. The breakfast outside or in our spacious room was a welcome touch. Manuel and his wife and staff were very helpful. The place is also...

We stayed two nights in Casa da Azenha and loved every second of it. Gorgeous villa, amazing surroundings, incredibly hospitable and helpful hosts, fantastic breakfast in the garden... If you go to Douro valley, make sure you choose this as your place to stay!

In the most outstanding regions of Portugal there is a small paradise named Casa da Azenha. Warming and welcome place and very nice staff. Lovely breakfast with local products from the farm. Very relaxing and nice swimming pool. Awesome vineyard landscape. An unforgettable weekend, for sure a place to come back in the near future.

Casa da Azenha is a very nice place. Near Peso da Regua, Douro River and others interesting place. It is located at the countryside, and this is part of my choice to go there. The property has a very nice garden (that we couldn't stayed there because the rain). The room was spacious and the bathroom has a tube. There...

We stayed at Casa da Azenha for two nights. We were greeted by Manual and his young staff member Mara. The property has been in the family for over 300 years and has an older yet stately feel to it. Our accommodation had two bedrooms, living area, and a small kitchen. Just outside the front door was a table with...

Thank you very much for your kind review. As you said, Casa da Azenha its not only a B&B...its the surrounding vineyards, the porches, the romantic gardens, the outside breakfasts, the property walks, and off course, our guests and staff. Had a wonderful 3 nights at the Casa da Azenha in September: such a relaxing and serene spot. Beautiful old house; comfortable beds and our own little 'outside' area for a glass of wine in the evenings. Plenty of history here - ask the owners to show you the Casa's private chapel. Lovely gardens and a treat to relax by...

This is a beautiful property with hosts that genuinely cared about our comfort and experience. Once we settled in, we were immediately at ease and enjoyed exploring the property. We were so at home that, during out stay here, we ate our lunches out, but picked up food so we could relax and eat dinner in the amazing gardens, Our...

Old fashioned hospitality in historic house with access to shaded gardens and excellent pool. Manuel and Anita were very gracious hosts happy to share their local knowledge. In addition to the obvious attractions of the Duoro there are some excellent restaurants nearby. We were able to walk the vineyards and hills behind the property in the cool of the morning...
