This hotel is worthi for its category **. Good location in one of the crowdest street in Porto, Sta. Catarina and Catarina shopping (a good place for shopping and eat in the foodcourt). Rooms are nice and clean, wich is very important. Many places around for breakfast, eating and dinning.

The location is just great, its right in the city center and literally 1 minutes walk from Bolhao Metro station. There is a shopping center just across the hotel and many restaurants around so breakfast and dinner is easy to find. There is a minibar in the room...There is also a local supermarket (Pingo Doce) 5 minutes away from the hotel that also cooks homemade food so you could also enjoy if you are on a budget. The staff is very friendly and caring. You can get tips and brochures from the reception. You will be asked to leave your key at the desk when you leave the hotel for safety reasons. There are unfortunately many junkies on the streets of Porto however the hotel felt really safe. It is apparently one of the oldest hotels in Port and you could see the signs when you walk in however it is nicely renovated and quite clean. There is no hairdryer in the rooms but you can get one from the reception. I would highly recommend it to families with kids. It is a small budget hotel, really clean and the atmosphere is nice. A cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the small balcony is priceless:)

Although the room was small we were comfortable and it was quiet. The staff were friendly. It is worth mentioning there are a lot of stairs to carry your luggage up, especially if you are placed on one of the upper floors. Fine for us but something to be aware of. We also caught the nearby metro to get to the main train station. Lots of good food and you can walk straight through the main shopping areas to get to the heart of Porto. When in Porto, eat the pastel de nata every day for breakfast!

The hotel is in a great location for seeing the sights. You can walk to many things and it is close to the metro and train station. The central market has been temporarily relocated across the street and is a great place to shop. We stayed there one night before we started our Habitat for Humanity build. The room was quite small. When opening the door you were practically on top of the bed. There was a small refrigerator, desk and closet also in the room. The bathroom was tiny and had a small shower that a large person would have difficulty fitting into. It was clean and the folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We were very surprised to find that the hotel did not provide breakfast. Probably won't return there again but it is economical and clean.

Friendly, helpful and responsive staff. Excellent location, next to Bolhao metro station, walking distance to historic part of city, close to restaurants and shopping. Our room was small and simple, but everything we needed was there. Street-side rooms are a bit noisy in daytime, but we slept undisturbed at night. We stayed our last 2 nights here, moving from a 4-star hotel at triple the price. It was well worth it! There are lots of things you can with the savings... :)
