I can not fault this hotel. Charming staff, great rooms, comfy beds, good breakfast. In Covid times, we had it brought to us at the table, the orange juice and choice was very good. The restaurant was limited in choice but it was good

This is a traditional, old fashioned European luxury place at its finest. We enjoyed a great service level, highly attentive and friendly front staff. The room was of medium size, bathroom rather small, but everything spotlessly clean with high quality details. The bed was one of the best we ever enjoyed in the 5 star segment. The public area of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was high-end, and really 5 star level. The location is perfect, in the middle of everything. The only weak points were the ultra small pool and the inconvenient location for guests arriving with an own car. When in Porto, we will for sure stay there again.

I recently was on a tour of Spain and Portugal when both countries started to shut down because of the coronavirus, and this was the last hotel I was able to stay at before I had to leave. I stayed several nights longer than expected because I was temporarily stranded in the country. This hotel is wonderful, and the accommodations are outstanding. The staff takes very good care of the guests and was helpful in every way. As things were shutting down, they were very diligent in sanitizing areas and protecting themselves and guests by social distancing and cleanliness, while providing top notch service. A good indication of quality is how one reacts in less than favorable circumstances, and they were great. I am eager to return and complete my trip and I will again stay at this hotel.

The Infante Sagres is a splendid hotel near the city hall and banking district in old Porto. This place could be a museum. It is just gorgeous with old world charm, a lobby staircase with a two story stained glass mural. The lobby sitting area is grand and full of antique furniture, rich carpets and upholstery. I have been blown away. There is an old elevator with a padded settee, a very friendly and attentive staff and there was a glass of Port on checkin. Breakfast is nicely laid out in their restaurant/bar area, which looks quite formal but is very comfortable...and casual attire and mannerisms such as my own were welcome. Room is spacious with large bath, well appointed toiletries and 8 out of 10 comfort score on the beds and linens. I cant recommend this place enough if you want a great stay in the lap of old aristocrat luxury, it should be on your short list.
