Definitely pluses and minuses with this hotel. We drove in and had a tough time finding the property. Miguel was great helping us with the car and we enjoyed a welcome drink while we checked in. The lobby is very old World and nice to sit in and relax. The breakfast was great with many choices in a lovely dining...

I had expected there would be adequate internet access in a 5 star hotel. Internet access was intermittent at best. The bathroom was extremely cramped and the shower system was almost impossible to operate. The provided towelling gowns were not replaced despite being wet and left out for replacement. The front desk were less than helpful.

Ok this isn't a five star hotel. It's old and many elements of the hotel need renovating. But the staff are very friendly. Offered a class of port on arrival which was great. The hotel manager we met was also friendly, kind and professional. We made a complaint about some noise and they were very apologetic and did everything to...

Lovely vintage-styled hotel with wonderful modern lobby - we were greeted with a glass of port which was a nice touch. Had issues with our initial room not smelling too good, but we were promptly moved to one sans-smell. It's older for sure - the aircon, window fittings and furniture - but has been renovated in a way that works....

We had a pleasant room overlooking the courtyard where the only sounds really were the splashing of the fountain, the cry of the seagulls and the church bells... sounds that are now to me synonymous with Porto. The hotel perfectly reflected the city's old world charm, little touches like the quiet sitting areas, the antique lift and the music all...

We stayed in this lovely hotel 4 nights. Perfect location, charming old building and very nice rooms. We had junior suite what was facing to courtyard and it was perfectly silent at night. We were extremely satisfied with service of all the staff from receptionists to room-maids. The breakfast was delicious. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends...

There are not so many hotels in Porto that retain some genuine remnants of past times. This is quite a large hotel, on the edge of the central historical district, that has held on to the character and charm of the 1930s. It is full of art, and the bedrooms - we were upgraded to a really large room -...
