Hotel da Bolsa is named after the Bourse, the Stock Exchange Palace down the street. The location is wonderful. It is a five-minute walk down to the Ribeira, the Douro River waterfront, a ten-minute walk to the port wine lodges across the river. There are numerous restaurants, bars, and markets within two blocks. The city buses run right outside the... More

Location very good. Close to the river, tower, cafes, bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean and large and the bathroom had been updated. The hotel has a bar that is cosy and good for coffee and port late at night! (good coffee). Reception staff don't have much personality but are happy to answer any questions. Note this hotel is... I was very pleased with the Hotel da Bolsa. Very well located. We walked from the train station and found it very convenient to go to thongs along the river. Very nice places to eat around the hotel as well as shops selling unique goods.

We stayed in Hotel Da Balsa 14th to 16th Oct and was pleaded with our choice of hotel with it being very central to the activities we wanted to do that weekend. The hotel it's self was very clean tidy and our room on the 6th floor was magnificent with the views across the city and river to the right.... More

This hotel is minutes walking distance from everywhere in Porto. It is not the most luxurious hotel which is good and it is great value for money. It has all the important amenities and staff are very friendly . Alon

Stayed for 2 nights but it wasn't enough. The staff were exceptional and provided excellent service from info on the hotel as well as info of the city. I stayed on level 6 room 604 which was on the corner of the building. The staff told me that this was their favourite room. The views were incredible! You could see... More

Enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the city and there's a nice buzz about the neighbourhood. The hotel itself is well kept and comfy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We didn't opt to have breakfast as this was a fair bit more pricey than visiting some of the lovely coffee shops and... More

We arrived under difficult circumstances (difficult for us, that is) and perhaps we would have liked it anyway, just for being there. But they did better than that: clean comfortable rooms, quiet, a pleasant atmosphere and really helpful staff. The main attractions of the city are close by. Prices are reasonable. They limit what they try to do (breakfast only,... More
