Had the wonderful opportunity to stay 3 days with Marta and Pedro at their lovely home at the edge of Porto. Their motto is that you make yourselves at home while there. Rooms and bathroom are simple but spotlessly clean with good Wifi. They are...More
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Porta Azur; room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent and it was in a great location. It didn't have aircon but the fan and open window in the cool of the evening more than made up for...More
If I were to stay in Porto again I would not use Trip Advisor because this is the perfect place to stay. Great location, lovely breakfast, nice room and as a bonus a private garden. Other places have these BUT they do not have the...More
For me, if I am undecided between a few places that look good, I will go with the place that has a reputation for having good hosts. Reading TripAdvisor reviews Porta Azul was the winner and I must say they were right! Pedro & Marta...More
We stayed six nights at the Porto Azul. We thought the location was quite convenient. It was a good 20 minute walk from the Casa do Musica Metro stop (on brutal cobblestoned sidewalks that hate rolling suitcases) but after our arrival at Porta Azul we...More

About a 20-25 minute cab without traffic from the airport. There's also a bus from the airport that comes about twice an hour that drops you pretty much right in front of the hotel. The metro also goes from the airport to a station about a 15 minute walk to the hotel (or a quick cab ride from the closest metro station to the hotel). To Sao bento train station it's a 10-15 minute walk or a quick cab. To campanha it's a far walk probably 45 minutes or a 15 minute or so cab again without traffic.
