These guys were great even before I'd arrived. Check in was meant to be before 11pm but my flight was a late one and I only got to the hostel at 1am - I sent an email to warn them and they said this would be no problem at all. There was a staff member waiting for me when I... More

I recently stayed at the 8-bed female dorm for 3 nights and had a nice, pleasant stay. While some areas still need improvement, I'm happy I stayed here for the convenience and privacy. Pros: - Excellent location. I chose this because of its proximity to the Sao Bento station (3-5 min walk). It's also within walking distance from everything you... More

Hello, Thank you very much for your comment. We are still improving our facilities and accommodations. Thanks for understanding. (We always had real coffee for breakfast. Three types of coffee actually: Instant coffee, a coffee press and Nespresso express coffee.) Hope to see you again! Thank you. More

I stayed just for a night but I wish I could stay more. The city is amazing and the hostel has a precious location. Just near by the train station - Sao Bento and you can walk very easily for every where and you will still feel that you are near. I will recommend!

Really good hostel! Very friendly staff, clean and located in the center of Porto. Extremely recommend this place if looking for an affordable but nice hostel in the city center. Nothing really to complain!

> We went to Porto for my brother's Bachelor Party. We were a group of 21 persons and we booked 3 dorms (8, 8 and 10 people). We had the best price ever compared to other hotels in Porto or AirBnB services. > Not only the hostel is perfectly located (close to everything) but also is clean (completely renovated in... More

I've spent a night here, and in spite of it being dormitory accommodation, the care and help of Adriana was just amazing! She helped us find a place for dinner and even booked my next night ahead's accommodation. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and we really felt at home.

Location is great, apart from that it's OK but not great. Common area is at -1 and there's not that many people there. Rooms are nice, not dirty but also not extremely clean. Staff is kind but don't give you tips on what to do in the city.

The Hostel is located in a nice part of Porto. On the other side of the street, there are nice restaurants and bars where you can listen to music and drink whine. Consequently, most of the time it is quite loud. The beds are not really comfortable and clean and the corridors and rooms are too dark and unfriendly. Breakfast... More

I've stayed at Porto Alive twice in the last few years, and it continues to be a great value and pleasant experience. The location is unbeatable (right next to São Bento Station and minutes from the river) and the facilities are clean and the staff friendly. They were understanding when we missed our first night's stay and kept our reservation... More
