The history of this hotel goes back to the 18th century, when coaches and barouches stopped at the Saint-Jean Hotel which served as a love getaway for Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine. The building is today one of the oldest buildings in the city of Brussels, and more particularly one of the oldest hotels still in activity.
My third visit. This time I opted to add in breakfast. This was worth it. Arrived at hotel early. We were able to check in early which was excellent. Only one night this time but will definitely stay again. Already planning a visit next year....More

It was a sad place to be. Old bathroom, a room that hardly fit two single beds (my room mate and I were almost stamping over each other), lift that took ages (I walked after the first try).

Very convenient for the railway station, but since it has merged with the hotel next door, there are lots of stairs and corridors. OK breakfast buffet. The room is perfectly all right for a nights sleep.
