Hotel des colonies a historical hotel . Sadly it's not been refurbished since it was built. The rooms are shocking and do not believe the photos. Broken cane furniture no wardrobe and a tiny broke shower that you can't even raise your arms in let alone shower in. No hot water. Heating is via to old broke radiators and the... More

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is very convenient - you can walk to the centre (Grand Place), it is close to Rogier metro/tram station with links to the south/midi and north stations, near a couple of supermarkets and situated on a quiet street. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable, and there is a... More

I stayed 3 nights while I was traveling in Europe. Hotel is not new or exclusive but good for the price and very clean. It's very well located, near subway and train station. City is not that big therefore, you don't even need much transportation. Lot of things are a walking distance from hotel like Grand Place, one of the most beautiful... More

The hotel is well located, close to subway and train station. Some of the staff is unspecialized. Breakfast every day the same, and by the finish everything ends (food, drinks, cutlery). In-room minibar is missing, clogged sinks, plants not operated.

Found location very good, near the Hilton and Sheraton which made Hotel des Colonies a budget type accomodate. That is fine if only for the price. As mention the location is fantastic and near to most attractions. Rooms were reasonable, nothing fancy and breakfast was acceptable. Do not expect much more than that. My major concern was that it was... More

I stayed two nights while on business in Brussels. While the hotel is showing it's age, it is a still a fairly decent place to stay. It is close to the Gare de Bruxelles Nord train station, and there are a number of shops and places to east near by. The hotel reception staff were friendly, I booked a single... More

We loved our stay here. Quiet spacious rooms. The style here is really old fashioned, but that's exactly its charm. We were surprised by the friendly, wiling and efficient staff. We brought our bikes, and without any problem the receptionist opened a secure room to put them overnight.

We were pretty surprised at the low quality of the accommodations. The hotel is very shabby. The lobby smells like sewage. The initial receptionist was somewhat pleasant, but the staff later in the evening were nearly hostile. The plugs in the rooms did not work - and, yes, we had the correct converters. We had booked two rooms for two... More

This central hotel with moderate rates has one problem. An ineffective wifi network. Okay to go there if you don't need your wifi. Staff were friendly but could not help. Breakfast is fine and the location is ideal for people working in or near the EU building nearby. The place de Rogier is a central hub for work and shopping.

I stayed again in this hotel and I found it superb for the price, the location and the safety reasons. The breakfast is always superb and the staff very polite. I find very easy to go everywhere in the city because of the metro station near the hotel.I have reason not to stay again.
