Dining alone in a different country, the Homes Saint Jacques had booked a table for me at Le Cygne restaurant. The meal was a delicious combination of local (Normandy) produce and the service was second to one in this small village. Best of all was the surprise desert for my final course of the evening.

At one end of the main street of this slightly run down French town. The hotel is OK but perhaps a little tired. There is free on-site parking. The rooms are a decent size and have the facilities you might expect but all pretty basic. Our room at the back was very quiet ensuring a good nights sleep, others at... More

We stayed 2 seperate nights and both were without problems. Rooms are small but have all you need and the shower room was very big. We did find that the shower soaked the whole bathroom, as it was behind a partition but open one side. However, it was hot and powerful. Wifi everywhere in hotel and restaurant. The menu in... More

We stayed here overnight on our way back to the UK. Efficient is really the perfect word to describe the staff here, everything from check in to the restaurant service was brisk and no-nonsense. The food was really good as was the very reasonably priced wine we had. My only minor niggle is that if you choose, as we did,... More

This is a Logis, and every French town should have one. The idea is a comfortable night's sleep and a good breakfast (loved the jus de pomme - only in Normandy). This provides it in a simple, homely way. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, otherwise I would certainly have dined there too - it looks lovely. Attractive courtyard. Good hotel... More

The rooms are good rather than excellent but the evening meal was so good we decided to stop there on our way back from holiday too! We were not disappointed and would definitely revisit just for the food.

We stopped for a night here and found it a well-appointed but somewhat disappointing experience. Although there was nothing to complain about as far as the facilities are concerned. the standard of our welcome and service could be improved upon. At dinner and breakfast - the quality of both of which was fine if not outstanding - the service was... More

This is a small friendly hotel in a bustling little town. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant serves beautifully cooked traditional french food. My coq au vin was one of the best I have had and everything seems home cooked and freshly prepared. Breakfast was 'plentiful and pleasant'. Prices are very reasonable, particularly for demi- pension. The only... More

We used this for a stop over on the way back to Calais from the South West of France. Accessible safe parking in the courtyard proved perfect for our large car and massive roof box - which easily fitted under the access arch. Parking required no more than very average driving skill to achieve in what was a full hotel.... More
