Guest House with free wifi, TV, and hot water available. Nice staff, drinking water, fresh towels, blankets, toilet paper and tissue paper. Laundry service and washing machine available. Safe environment and relaxing garden. Motor bike and car rentals, also day tours, over night tours, Jungle Trekking, and elephant tours available. Tuk tuk and motorbike site seeing tours.
Stayed for 2 nights, basic accommodation but hot running water. 5min walk to the main town centre but location still fine. Don't expect rooms to be cleaned each day so you'll need to ask for more toilet paper etc if needed. Can't complain with $8 / £6 a night.

My second stay at Phanyro, my second visit to SM, Phanyro is very clean, beds are comfy and service is grt for Cambodia, there is lots of accom in SM and all is very cheap by western standards. The check-in desk is a "tin shed" by the gate where the "check in clerk" (owners family) sleeps so check-in is 24/7. Bottles of water are provided each day or night. WiFi is good multiple servers to log onto. I'm here doing volunteer work, I will be back but won't look elsewhere for accom, at US$8 per night this place is grt and within walking distance from all the bus stops.

For the price a great deal. We were visiting/volunteering at the elephantvalleyproject in mondulkiri and could not have been more pleased. Easy to walk to town center, market, ATM, restaurants. The accomodations were large, clean, and it was great to get a hot shower after two days in the jungle.

I stayed at the Phanyro on two separate occasions in the one month (a week apart as I was volunteering at the elephant sanctuary during the week). The first time I had a double room and possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a guest house. There was also a well placed fan which moved the air nicely. The hot water didn't work properly but that's not massive deal. The second time I had a single room and the fan was directly above the bed and did not oscillate (rotate) so was completely pointless as you couldn't feel it in the bed. The pillows the second night were hard as rocks and were three times as thick as any pillow I've ever had. My friend was given a room with a door that wouldn't close and the staff member pretended to fix it (hoping we wouldn't test it) and…

This place is very clean, comfortable and affordable. There is hot water and wifi. It is located 5 min walk away from the center if Sen Monorom, in a peaceful street. Bungalows are set around a lovely blooming garden. It is the perfect place to rest after a 2-days tracking in the jungle!

Although Sen Monorom is not the largest town in Cambodia, it has plenty of places to stay. But for a very reasonable price (8 dollars for a fan room as of October, 2016) Phanyro offers great value. Yes, there are some slightly cheaper places nearby, but here you get quiet surrounds (without being to far from the centre of town,) a nicely decorated and finished room, reliable hot water, and best of all, exceptional cleanliness -- the room is cleaned each morning. A lovely place to stay in Sen Monorom, highly recommended.

I spent over a month at the Phanyro while I was doing some volunteering in Sen Monorom. The rooms have a double bed and bathroom which is all you need as there are lots of choices for food in the town at reasonable prices. The owners of the guesthouse were always helpful and took very good care of me during my stay. If you need laundry done they provide that service at a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend this guesthouse for your stay.

So the guesthouse itself was great, it was clean, spacious, well looked after and convenient for getting into the main hub to access restaurants and tour operators. However, it was distressing to see a husky, a dog bred to run long distances in cold climates, confined to a cage containing an old beer can that was far too small (he couldn't stand or stretch). The dog was not given any water and was breathing rapidly when sleeping (indicating a rapid heart rate, a symptom of heat stroke) when we confronted the owner about this he laughed at our concern and told us to get the dog some water ourselves. We ended up buying water to give to the dog and were shocked at how little the owner cared, especially when the dog is at real risk of heat stroke. As tourists you can't do much to…

I am very sorry that you felt the dog was mistreated we only put in the cage at night to make sure it was not stolen. It is now been sent back to its owner in Phnom Penh but I am very sorry and sad that you felt the dog was not happy or needed water. We always take care of everything and make sure they are good and happy. We hope to see you again and you can see that everything is better and that the dog here now is treated very nice and able to run free. Happy that your overall stay in the guest house was good, clean, and spacious. Thank you, Net T (owner)

We stayed here for three months so I guess you can tell we liked it a lot! The owners are great, the rooms are great. They clean every day, hot water via solar panels is perfect because it can be pretty cold in Sen Monorom sometimes. I really want to go back!

I visit Sen Monorom often for work and stay here everytime. The staff speak English and are helpful, the rooms are basic but are clean and tasteful. Staying here is very easy and hassle free. Another big selling point for me is that they have a generator and fast WiFi. Many other hotels in town do not have a generator and there can be frequent power cuts in this town. Private bungalows cost around $8 per night as of January 2016.
