We are staying in this hotel now staying for 2 nights, I would firstly like to say how wonderful and friendly the staff are there customer service is 100% the breakfast team , the bar people downstairs , and of course the reception they are full of knowledge of the local area and they do everything they can to make your stay very enjoyable they are truely excellent . This hotel is next to the metro station so in prime position for travelling around also next to the sightseeing bus tours we caught the sightseeing red bus from in front of the hotel , There is very little noise from outside today how busy it is with traffic we were very impressed how quiet our room was we stayed in a delux room facing the fountain sadly the fountain wasn’t working while we was here the council seemed to be cleaning it which was a shame but one of those things not the hotels fault There was a good choice for breakfast hot food and cold food as well as hot drinks and juice and toast With a great view of the city from the restaurant window the air conditioning in the room is very good so is the fridge keeps things nice and cold I think the toilet was very weird it was very hard and odd shaped to sit on very uncomfortable and quite low down we spoke to reception and the guy said everyone says this the hotel has been built a long time but we had lots of hot water we did read about the homeless and immigrants people being around but to be honest we saw a few but they didn’t bother us they were just chatting amongst themselves like most city’s just be careful of your belongings but didn’t really see any gangs of people we felt very safe in all the lit up streets but like at home we wouldn’t walk down a dark street There is plenary of cafes restaurants and bars around and within walking distance Thank you for masking our stay very enjoyable

My wife and I had an enjoyable weekend stay at Athens Tiare Hotel. The check-in process was fast and friendly. We stayed in a spacious Tiare suite on the 8th floor, offering great views over Omonia Square with the beautifully illuminated fountains at night and Mount Lycabettus.
The room had plenty of facilities and the beds were really comfortable. The management provided a complimentary bottle of red wine and some fruit in our room on arrival, which was a nice gesture.
We dined at the hotel's Artensis restaurant on Saturday evening, opting for the outdoor undercover seating in Omonia Square. The food was really tasty, and the staff were both attentive and friendly.
Breakfast at the hotel was good, although the selection wasn't huge, there were plenty of options for a short stay.
My wife used the hotel gym. However, this was really small with one treadmill, a multi weight machine, and some free weights. It probably wouldn't be practical for more than 2 people to use it at any one time.
The location is great, with the metro right outside and also the hop on hop off tour buses stop right across the road. Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis is only a straight 15 minutes walk away, too. Some reviews mentioned that Omonia Square felt unsafe. However, we never felt unsafe walking around the area at night and were never bothered by anybody.

We had the best stay at the Athens Tiare Hotel, incredibly lucky and privileged to stay here. Customer service is the best we have ever had over many years of holidays and visited many countries.
Thomas and Athina went above and beyond, they were excellent examples of first class customer service, they couldn't have done more for us.
The hotel is centrally located on Ominia Square, the metro is across the road, so convenient for travelling from the airport on the blue line, change to red or green line to Omonia square, simple and costs 9 euros.
Our room was spacious on the 7th floor with a balcony overlooking the fountain, clean and warm with USB sockets and enough plug sockets too. The bathroom was spotless, overhead and jet shower, toiletries smelt lovely too. Cupboard space, safe, fridge with complimentary bottles of water and slippers.
The breakfast had a very good variety of hot and cold buffet, selection of juices, bread, cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, perfect to start your day.
Would recommend the red bus, the stop is across the road and gives you a good quick tour of the city allowing you to hop and off. The beach is 45 mins bus ride from the hotel, lots of taxis, the hotel can book one for you.
Loads of restaurants, bars, bakeries, cafes, pharmacy, grocery and department store, shops, everything you need is within walking distance along with historic sights.
We had a great time and will DEFINITELY return to the hotel, it's one of the best we have stayed in.
Thank you Thomas and Athina, you are simply the BEST!

Don't be fooled by the hotel's modern look and fountain view. The area was unsafe with gangs and drug addicts while the Omonia metro station was famous of being robbed. The location was convenient to points of interests, however, the traffic noise from all directions where the hotel is located was so loud to wake you any time during the nights even with door closed and earplugs on.
We stayed 11 nights at a corner suite of fountain view. On our first night, the mattress of my side was collapsed. The water tank of coffee machine was so full with black edges even after being rinsed. We dared not to use it. Then, we had to change room as we were told it would take time to repair the mattress.
The new room was no better. The lid of the coffee machine was full of mould. Water was one-third full left by previous guest and remained the same when we left after 11 days. We did not use one single coffee capulse due to the hyigene issue.
Instant coffee, sugar, toilet rolls or anything in the room were not refilled since our stay until we ran out of toilet paper on Day 5 in the morning that we had to inform the reception. How could a 4-star hotel had one toilet roll for 4 days without a spare roll.
After that, daily refill of instant coffee and sugar still did not happen and we gave up.
The daily house-keeping service was limited that they only exchanged towels and made your bed on our first 6 days. Nothing else. No sweeping, no mopping, no dusting. Towels were thin and grey. The bedding either was torned, with holes or smaller flat sheet nwhich was not tucked in. Water from the shower leaked to the floor causing a small flood every time you took a shower. You could get better at a Preimer Inn or Travelodge. For the price of two standard comfort room we paid, what we got from a suite was definitely not worth the money.
In general, most staff but not all were polite, friendly and helpful especially the Asia lady and young boy at reception and the shorter hair waitress. Breakfast is adequate and at average. Hence, 2 stars.

Stayed here for 4 nights end of Feb/March as a couple.
Location: Hotel is in an excellent location directly opposite the Metro within walking distance to Syntagma Square, Monistraki Square and the Acropolis (or you can take the Metro red line and these are within 3 stops which we did). Can also walk to neighbourhoods like Psyri which we did for dinner which was lovely. Omonia Square which is the metro station name is also on the same line as Piraeus which is the port of Athens (well worth a visit to walk around and have food / drinks overlooking Zea Marina or Mikrolimano Harbour. Down the road is Central Market which we experienced on a Sunday night which was cool. 24-7 bakery next door which is more than just a bakery; sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, artisan desserts A couple of late night gyros places if you arrive late including 1 directly next door Supermarkets within a few mins walk
Room: We had a comfort room. On check in she offered us an upgrade without seeing the room and told us to have a look at it first. The room was small but clean however the view was awful. Boxed in by 3 derelict walls taller than us so natural light was limited. Housekeeping is lazy - put water in a broken fridge (we fixed ourselves), didn't replace cups or tea/coffee after we had used the, (had to ask reception twice) and on day 3 she took every single towel and didn't replace them. We had 2 single beds (not even put together with 1 sheet to make it like a double). Bathroom needs an upgrade, shower made water go absolutely everywhere and the tiles are very outdated. I would recommend going for a deluxe room (we were offered an extra 12 euros a night for one) and didn't take it but if you like a bit more comfort and a view then it is probably worth it.
Breakfast: Great spread, continental breakfast, pastries, yogurt etc.
Overall, would recommend (with a deluxe room). Cannot fault the location and moreover Athens is alive every night. Part of the fun was walking from the hotel to dinner (restaurants are absolutely incredible). We walked through some dark streets but honestly nobody even so much as looked at us funny so don't let anyone put you off by mentioning the streets round the back of Omonia Square.

What an experience this was! Let us start with the location: although it is located a fairly walkable distance to the acropolis (20 to 30 mins), do so at your own risk. Specially down the side roads. The hotel is located in Omonia which is pretty much the ghetto- so i would advise to be cautious. However, I do give it full points for having the train station right outside the hotel entrance which is very handy. The hotel itself was fine. Room clean and bed comfortable. We literally had a view of grey walls of local buildings out our windows so the room was completely dark. Breakfast was nice and staff friendly enough. I would be very careful buying food from local takeaways as a local shop charged us double - €12 for 6 falafel and small salad and €3 for a 330ml drink!

Staff are absolutely amazing at this hotel. Clean rooms and is in a great location. Our only complaint was we booked a triple room with 3 female adults. We got a king bed and a miniscule pullout chair. The pullout was so small only a child could sleep on it. After we complained, we discovered that it was Expedia's fault as it was booked thru them and it was a "family room" which is usually 2 adults and a child. In any event GREAT Hotel but even better staff!

We stayed last week for 5 nights and had an amazing time! The hotel is in a perfect location, you can easily walk, get the metro, taxi, or the sightseeing bus from right outside to the main attractions. Our room was spacious and clean, shower was always hot and powerful and we had a brilliant view of the fountain and lycabettus hill from our balcony. It was very easy to get the metro from the airport - and half the price of taxi/transfer so worth it. Lots of good restaurants in the Plaka area of Athens too. We would definitely stay here again if back in Athens!

The Athens Tiare Hotel is a modern hotel overlooking Concorde Square.
The hotel rooms are small but the beds are comfortable. There is a bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a tablet, and a desk and chair.
They do not provide anything like dental kits, bath robes or slippers.
There is a 40 inch LCD TV with a reasonable selection of English speaking channels. The Wi-Fi is fairly poor quality and drops out all of the time.
The room I had had a window which looked straight onto a wall so there was no View at all.
The elevator in the hotel is very slow.
The bathroom is very small and compact in the shower is very narrow whereas if you move your arms slightly outward you will hit both walls at the same time. The shower has good water pressure.
The walls are very thin and you can hear every word anyone says out in the hallway and you can also hear people talking in the neighboring room.
The hotel is very Central and within easy walking distance of shops supermarkets and restaurants. You can also walk to the Acropolis from here it's about a 25 to 30 minute walk and does involve some fairly Steep inclines and stairs.
The Onsite restaurant has terrible service what are the staff simply looked at you rather than coming assist you or take your order turn the food I was served was fairly poor quality I would definitely recommend you stay away from their onsite restaurant.
I've rolled the rooms a small but comfortable and I would recommend this hotel for a few nights stay.

Celebrated our First Wedding Anniversary at Athens Tiare Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All staff made our stay comfortable, the hotel was clean and tidy throughout. The breakfast was delicious with a number of items to choose from. The staff were very accommodating of our requests, sharing their local knowledge of sites, tours, restaurants etc. The on-site restaurant was very good. The subway is only 30 seconds walk away from the hotel and we used the subway to get to Acropolis museum, which was quite straight forward. The 'hop on hop off' bus is also only a 30 second walk away from the hotel which is convenient. We had a fountain facing bedroom which was really nice, but the only down side is the surrounding area as it can appear a bit unsafe, especially at night. Would highly recommend Athens Tiare Hotel as we were overall very happy with our stay!
