I'd read reviews and we asked in advance for a room on a higher floor - so we were on the 4th, with no spectacular view, but it was a corner so we had an wraparound balcony, which was great, and I liked the local street and the church etc - it felt 'local'. As others have mentioned, the hotel...

This is a well maintained hotel with average rooms. It's very close to the National Archaeological Museum but otherwise somewhat distant to the main tourist area. However it's easy to get to the main tourist area by Metro, and taxis are also quite affordable. Another more upscale hotel (a radisson) is around the corner on the same block - you...

We stayed there 4 days, 10 minutes walk from the Victoria metro station. The hotel is very nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. The best about this hotel is the staff : helpful and funny (mostly the reception staff). Also good music at the hotel's bar.

I spent an extended weekend at this hotel and was very pleased with the visit. The hotel is really nice, the interiour has a "boutique hotel atmosphere". The hotel is very clean, both the rooms and the common areas. As far as I could see all rooms have small balconies, which is nice when the weather is hot and you...

Nice hotel close to city. The station victoria is close walk 5min and then you have 2 stations from the city center. The room is beautiful , big bed and big bathroom ! You don't have a view from the room. Also if you have an early breakfast like me it was bad ! 1 coffee , 1 glass of...

Good and a clean hotel. Staff at he desk were very friendly and helpful, esp Frank, Harris and Antonio (5 stars). The breakfast was basic but almost sufficient. Its near the archaeological musuem and not too far from city centre.

Our taxi driver informed us en route to this Hotel that it wasn't in a great area, and having been there I have to agree with them. It was slightly shady at night and there were only a couple of decent restaurants within reasonable walking distance. Having said that the rooms were really good for the price and the staff...

My group and I stayed here for the first two days of our trip to Greece. The staff was the best part of our stay. They were very helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us around the city and recommending places to visit, eat, and shop around. The rooms were decent for three people but we found it particularly strange that...

We stayed here at the start of our cruise. The hotel is smallish. The elevator was so small that it only fit the 2 of us and 2 pieces of luggage. A new experience for us. Continental Breakfast was good with a mix of hot and cold food. Section is not large but very reasonable. The place is very close...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
