Average hotel, nothing exceptional. Difficult to reach: bit far from the port, no footpath, hill street. From the reception desk there are two different lifts to access to the floors. Depending the level you got, you will have to carry your suitcase in the stairs to reach the lift. When you got heavy or many suitcases, it's not convenient at...

Tiny room, so only good for single overnight stay. Location. Ideal for single overnight stay prior to taking a ferry to to islands. If you buy their breakfast, you get a free, early morning, ride to the ferry terminal. Does not apply to afternoon ferries. Very easily accessed from bus (max 6 euros) from Athens airport. Get info from the...

We were only staying here one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Small but clean and comfortable rooms. Good value for money. It is several blocks from the port. If you have the breakfast at the hotel, they take you to the port for free.

Great for a stop over; friendly staff, clean rooms and close to port. We actually only had the room for a few hours while waiting for our evening ferry so not sure how it is at night or how breakfast is in the morning. Recommend for brief stop over.

the 3 stars are given merely because it is not a luxurious place, it is very basic, with comfortable and clean beds. It is actually a very good and cheap place to spend 1 night before hopping onto a ferry to one of the beautiful islands. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The manager was amazing with us, he...

We arrived late in the night and the check in was smooth. The Receptionist was very friendly and talked about our culture and how she likes Indian movies and food. We had a complementary breakfast and drop to the Jetty to catch morning Ferry to Santorini. Rooms are just fine, given our stay was just for 9 hrs.

This was my first stop for a 2 week stay in Greece where I stated 2 nights. I must say this hotel is very good value for the price (approx 30 euros per night, a little less I think)... I am rating it a 4* because of the value, otherwise it is more similar to a 3* by Canadian standards......

We stay for 4 nights,it was not the best hotel but it is a good for a short stay. The breakfast is very spendy, 6 Euros for a dry toast, some cookies, yogurt coffee and orange drink. You can walk out side and find a nice warm one for less. They keep everything very clean, but i think they did clean the floor....

Beautiful cozy rooms with a bit of flair! Great location to the ferries and the free shuttle was appreciated. Warm reception. The rooms are not sound proof - bring ear protection. Be prepared for some stairs. Traditional airport.

Not a very fancy hotel but it did the job since our ferry left early morning. Less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and the port. We stayed the night before our trip to Santorini and the night we got back. I think we were in Argo the first night and Anita the second - I believe...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
