This property is not four star as described on Expedia and other websites. It is more of a refurbished b&b. When you arrive you have a bit of a wake up call as it is nothing as described. There are steep steps to some tiny reception and then a tiny lift to the rooms. The rooms are clean and sympathetically refurbished but not remotely close to the photos on Expedia. It is impossible to sleep due to noise and in some rooms the air condition is not working. The rooms are not cleaned daily and guests have to ask the reception for toilet paper etc.. Staff OK but not too bothered. I felt ripped off to be honest and that my intelligence is underestimated, as when I asked for the room to be cleaned I was told they don't due to corona virus. As I am Greek by asking around it turns out they were understaffed with only one cleaner for the whole place. There are better hotels around for the price

This hotel is on a street with a lot of traffic.walls are thing although the rooms are nice. You've been warned. **Bring earplugs** The days we stayed here they only had hot water in the showers half the time. Breakfast was decent and the rooms are fine. If you want a cheap option this is it. On another note, I dont know how people are supposed to ever get a truly real understanding of a place when so many people on here are writing ridiculous and exaggerated reviews with words like "hidden gem" or "a pearl in Athens." Utterly ridiculous. How would these people write a review of the Four Seasons or The Ritz? Seriously.

Attracted by the nice description and pictures, I decided to stay at the Athens Platinum for a business trip in Athens. I got a Superior room which has a reasonable size and comfort. Despite being a rather new hotel, it is already partly run-down (painting on walls in the floors, broken wall corners in the bathrooms). However, cleanliness and bed comfort were okay. Hotel staff was also friendly and mostly helpful. What really surprised me was the noise within the rooms. The hotel is located in a small side street of a rather large avenue, with a lot of traffic also during the night. With a good room isolation, normally traffic noise is not a big issue. But here, despite modern double window glass and because of the traffic noise level, I always had the impression that the doors to the balcony were wide open despite being fully closed. The neighborhood is rather typically for Central Athens - run-down and not really attractive. There is a park next to the hotel, which is too dark and insecure for a evening run. There is no Gym in the hotel. There is a firefighter station in front of the hotel, meaning that there is often some loud firefighter trucks maneuvering next to the hotel. Fortunately, there was no alarm during my stay. In summary: I was rather disappointed and would not select this hotel again for my next trip to Athens, there are better options in Athens.

We stayed only one night but per all everything was ok. They have parking but you have to pay. When you go inside and see the reception you don t expect many from the room, but we had a fantastic room, very clean, you understand that is new the hotel as nothing is broken inside, spacious, very big terrace, i liked the decorations in room. The breakfast is ok, not bad not wow. The personnel is very nice, ready to help you anytime. Also, the manager is a really nice guy. The bad part was that was a little difficult to find it. The conclusion is that if we will go again in Athens we will stay again here.

Such a lovely hotel, modern, clean and spacious rooms. I was out too early to try the breakfast but ate in the restaurant in the evening which was lovely, the guy running the restaurant was friendly and happy as well, nothing was too much trouble...as was the man behind the check in desk. Would definitely stay again!
