Great location. Liked the room although could have done with a shelf in the bathroom . The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was brought to the room as hotel opposite was being refurbished. Value for money.
It has the best location in the city center, very near to all the shops like Zara, H&M, Massimo etc... and 2 mins walk to the monasteraki square. The drawbacks, 1. it does not have a lobby, just few chairs like a waiting room. 2. the breakfast is in the opposite building. Other than that all is fine.
The room is quite strange, but when you get used to the concept, it is quite sweet really. There are huge mirrors on three sides of the bed, a control panel for the bed (which I didn't dare approach), "diamond" studded curtains, and a massive glass and "gold" chandelier. There is no desk and the furniture is plastic and a bit shabby. I guess the spilt coffee stain on the stool just couldn't be removed, nor the rips in the plastic of the sofa repaired. Other than that, the room everything is spotlessly clean The bed was very comfortable, and beautifully made up every day which was great to come back too. The bathroom is just plain dangerous - extremely slippery floor, water goes everywhere, difficult to navigate the big glass door. The shower was fun though, with plenty of hot water from several points. The location is perfect - just a short walk to most of the interesting parts of Athens. The breakfast is excellent - lots of choice, reasonably good quality, and pleasant staff. I wish I could say the same for the reception staff. I had limited contact with them, but they were not particularly nice or helpful. They barely apologized when the car pick-up at the airport failed to turn up and I had to take a taxi; they didn't tell me that if I ordered a taxi via reception I would be charged an extra 3 euros, and they weren't particularly helpful when I asked if the metro was navigable with a suitcase. I don't think I would return.…
We stayed here for a couple of days and found the hotel to be reasonable and staff very helpful. Its in a good location, close to Syntagma Square, Plaka, Monastiraki Square and the Metro (be very aware of the Metro in peak hours). Our room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was included and we found it to be satisfactory.
We travelled to Athens and only spent 3 nights there. We wanted to be centrally located so everything was within walking distance. This hotel met our expectations. You check in across the narrow street at Diamond homtel, and it is in this building on the 6th floor where you have your buffet breakfast. Room was clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was varied and satisfying, cannot go past the yoghurt and fruit with muesli and honey(yum). Coffee was nothing special but there are many cafes to visit nearby. There's also a wonderful gelato shop around the corner. The room we had was not especially large but it was quiet and airy, as we also had a balcony. Having air con and elevator is always a plus. Bed was comfortable. Face washers would have been handy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.…
