Arrived at the hotel cause of my early morning flight at approximately 9.30 am, fully knowing that it is too early to check in. Vicky at the reception told me what I already knew. So I strolled around and returned around 11. Still no room available and I was suggest to use the pool until my room was ready. In...

Generally in Athens the situation in hotel business is quite poor. The most of the hotels are old and not renovated. The Radisson in Athens is not different. First of all I have to admit that I have enjoyed the service of the employees. Everyone from the Night Auditor to breakfast staff are friendly and professional. I enjoyed the cocktails...

We stayed another 4 days in this this hotel in Athens and in my opinion it is a 3 star hotel that has potential to improve a lot. Some of the rooms smell a bit because of the old carpets but everything else is fine. Lovely view of Arkopolice from the roof. Wonderful swimming pool and a good location to...

In summary: good location (close walk to metro), great reception staff (helpful and attentive), but average facilities. Pictures definitely look nicer than the actual hotel. In my opinion a bit overpriced for what you get.

Dear Miandru, Thank you for your honest feedback. Our hotel’s location is indeed one of its great advantages. With Victoria Metro station just 5 minutes away, a tour around Athens becomes a very simple task, while at the same time you are as far away as the noisy city center as required. Our staff is considered to be our hotel’s...

I stayed at the Radisson for three nights in May and enjoyed the hotel. The rooftop pool was a nice break after long days of walking around the tourist sites. We had dinner at the restaurant while admiring the Acropolis. Amazing view. The hotel is close to the archeology museum and a close walk to the subway. We walked to...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
