I stayed at this hotel by myself for three nights and loved it. Located close to the markets, this hotel is a must for those seeking a nice, quiet stay away from the busy streets of downtown Athens. With an included breakfast, free internet and...More
We stayed here twice on a recent trip to Greece. The hotel was priced reasonably, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were helpful and the breakfast was generous. Only two blocks from Monastiraki square and metro station in a safe area. We will stay there again.
Pro: staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The location in Psirri was also convenient to trains and ruins.
Cons: bathroom had no ventilation and its floor was perpetually wet. It was also infested with fruit flies. Gross! WiFi didn't reach our room. Breakfast...More

Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of
Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
