The first night's stay, we had a very large cockroach in our bathroom. Room was basic, the beds are very uncomfortable, and the bathrooms are horrible. A week later, we stayed again (against my better judgment) and they put us in a terrible room less...More

I had to think long and hard about my review of this place.... I chose it because of a) location and b) price. I like old buildings with character and have stayed in many around the world; I also feel that as you're out and...More
Acropolis House Hotel is in a superb location for visiting the great sites. It's on a pedestrianised street, spotlessly clean and very professionally run. It is not a modern streamlined hotel but if you want a very reasonably priced hotel for a capital city in...More
Staff, especially Jasmine, we're very helpful in guiding us towards activities and how to get to them. The location was excellent, close to all the major sights and in the Plaka. Price was reasonable. The room and bathroom are what you would expect in an...More

TripAdvisor is proud to partner with Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotwire, TripOnline SA and Agoda so you can book your Hotel Acropolis House reservations with confidence. We help millions of travellers each month to find the perfect hotel for both holiday and business trips, always with the best discounts and special offers.
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a
number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
