This is the last night here of our AMAZING honeymoon. We have had a wonderful time at this hotel. Great walking around area and very close to shops and cafes. Our room AQABA suite has a very large balcony, and a great layout of the room. It is outside of Athens, but can cab or metro in. Everyone has been so...

I stayed in this hotel for one night in Athens and it is a very charming hotel. The staff were friendly and my room was very nice. The hotel is quite small and has an old style lift which I wasn't sure about using! The room was spacious and clean. It also had a nice terrace to enjoy the sun....

When I came to hotel, I was a bit suspicious because my room was extremely large and looked like Aladin's cave (name of the suit was Jaipur, thats why :) ), but after one day, I realized that large bed was so cosy, ideal option for business travelers who sleep for short time and need good rest. Stuff is just...

The hotel is located in a very nice suburb of Athens, 30 mins away from the centre by tube on a direct journey. The area is very lively, with good restaurants and bars. The Hotel is small and has a range of different size rooms, with a small kitchen area. It is well decorated and has all amenities available either...

After reading the reviews on this hotel I was delighted that my company had booked me to stay here for 3 nights. A 15 minute taxi journey from the airport took me to this pleasant, leafy suburb of Athens, where the hotel is tucked away in a little tree lined avenue. I was welcomed at reception by a courteous and...

Welcoming staff in a charming well kept old building in a nice part of Athens! The lift (elevator) is a real working antique. Clean, spacious well equipped rooms with good wifi (free). A place I would certainly go back to when staying in Athens. Reasonably priced too!

Stayed a couple of days in Kifissia on a business trip. Kifissia is a very nice, green, upscale neighbourhood of Athens. Lost of shops and restaurants are close by. Because of its location, in summer temperature is several degrees lower than in the centre of Athens itself, giving the area a big pro. I stayed in the (huge and light)...

We found this lovely, small hotel in the Kifissia section of Athens. It's a trek by cab or train to the city center but it's worth it. The hotel is in a leafy suburb and the rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. Our room opens to an airy terrace thru French doors. I highly recommend this hotel to...

I stayed at the Kefalari Suites whilst on business. Although it is not near the centre of Athens, it was in a lovely area and about 20 mins from the Airport. But most important of all it was comfortable and the staff were exceptionally friendly. They take the time to make you feel welcome and happy, helping me with finding...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
