The hotel is located near syntagma train station in the city mall, you can walk by feet trough the town, very nice & helpful staff, I had a one bedroom without a freezer, breakfast is okay-the top is the acropolis view, the rooms are very small, mostly in dark brown colours, the tapestry starts to crincle a little bit from...

This is one of the best hotel in Athens. The location is extremely central. The hotel is located at very strategic point in syntagma square. View from the rooms and roof (breakfast room) definately mysterious and fascinating. Staff is very helpful and positive. Special thanks to Front Office Manager Vana. She is very attentive, constructive and helpful,The most remarkable advantage...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms are pretty average, there wasn't sufficient light, the room was dim. The bathroom isn't that clean but it's ok. What is actually very good about these hotel is its location in the city and its breakfast, which is rich and the breakfast room has a great view to Acropolis. Good hospitality by the staff.

Built in the 1960`s this hotel has been recently restored and it has a lovely retro feel. The public areas are finished in different colours of marble and there is an attractive coffee bar alongside reception. It is a great location being a few minutes walk from Constitution Square and Plaka is only minutes away. Near the hotel entrance are...

Highly recommended. Excellent location, everything is very close to the hotel, reachable on foot within a few minutes. We had room 603. Spacious, warm, very clean bathroom. Cleaning of the bathroom everyday, with fresh towels, and every second day change of sheets. Breakfast was gorgeous, full, and with variety of everything, salty and sweet, breathtaking view of the breakfast hall,...

We booked this hotel for 7 nights mainly because of its location. However it is in urgent need of serious renovation. The rooms are in an awful state, torn curtains, ripped and dirty wallpaper, the bathroom had stains and a bathtub with a nasty shower curtain (seriously???? In year 2016!!!). The fridge was literally sitting on the floor and the...

The entrance lobby and sitting area / bar are acceptable with furniture showing its age. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. We did not manage to get into the rooms but given a room in the 5th floor facing Acropolis. The lifts are new but baddly installed. I had the impression that the lift was brashing the wall...

The hotel is located around the corner from Syntagma square and subway station. Shooping distric and restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. Brekafast restaurant is located on the upper floor and you can get a great view of Akropolis from the terrace. Unfortunately, they allow pidgeons to pick up guests' food leftovers. The room was spacious, Air conditioning only worked with...

We stayed two nights. On our arrival the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and we were early but they gave us our room as it had been vacated. OUr room was clean and for the star rating of the hotel, just what we expected. The view from our room was brilliant right over to the Acropolis. The location of...

This was booked for us so we did not choose this place. We got there and they brought us to our room. The room had not even been cleaned from the last person who stayed there and whoever had stayed there was completely disgusting. There were food wrappers everywhere and the bed was a mess. The person helping us didn't...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
