We stayed three nights here. Two for our Rei island hopping tour and one more day in Athens. It is very close to the acropolis metro station and convenient to the sites. Breakfast was really good at the hotel and had a fresh orange juicer. The room was small and didn't have a balcony. Staff was nice. Elevators are tiny....

The location was perfect for visiting major attractions in Athens. The rooftop bar was amazing with a great view of the Acropolis. The piano player made every effort to play the songs people wanted to hear, and even spent his own time to find sheet music to play a requested song he didn't know. The bartenders were friendly, and remembered...

The hotel is pretty average, our room was a good size for a couple. The bed was quite comfortable. The hotel itself is in a fairly good location, a 10-minute walk from the base of the Acropolis and Plaka. The breakfast was also okay although the coffee was surprisingly weak for Greece. It tasted like diluted American coffee which meant...

Easily the hotel’s best feature is the rooftop bar and restaurant: largely open to the air, it has splendid views of the Acropolis, better than average food, and benefits hugely from Nicholas, wine expert and cocktail master, who combines the tasks of barman and waiter with skill, charm, and unfailing good humour. Most distinctive feature is the odd décor in...

My wife and I stayed here for the first three nights of our Greek honeymoon and were very satisfied. The best feature of this hotel is its location. Aside from our Acropolis tour we walked everywhere. We had no problems navigating through Plaka, Constitution Square/ Parliament area, New Acropolis Museum, Temple of Zeus, and the Theatre of Dionysos. Hotel is...

Stayed at the Athenian for two nights in June 2014. Overall, I would rate the experience as satisfactory. The best thing about this hotel is probably the location. Rooms were small and poorly decorated. Hotel staff forgot to clean our room on the second day. Overall, just OK.

We only spent two nights at this hotel, but I would definitely stay there again. It is very close to Acropolis and Plaka. Service was good. Best of our breakfasts. View from hotel restaurant/bar was of the Acropolis which was gorgeous at night. Had tissues (a first in our travels) and good hair dryer. We did not eat at the...

We spent a lot of time exploring Athens so barely spent time in our hotel - so it was great for what we needed. It was clean and central - walking distance to the hop on/off bus stop too. The view from the rooftop bar was lovely.

While in a location convenient to the major attractions in ancient Athens, and despite well appointed common areas, the guest room were small and plain. I had contacted the hotel about a month and a half before our trip requesting a balcony room. I was informed that balcony rooms were issued on a first come first served basis. We arrived...

Recently stayed one night in Athens- this hotel is in a great location walkable to sights. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room we had gave a view of the Acropolis but was a little small and carpets worn, but clean overall. The restaurant gave a fantastic view at night.
