Good small hotel. Taxi cannot get there, but near to everything (Very near to Syntagma Square) Around the corner of the Louis Vuitton and Prada. Plaka is a 10-15 minutes walk. Its too close to everything to take a cab, so you end up walking to everywhere.

It has a wonderful location, whether you're planning to relax or you're intending to do site seeing. Also shopping centers are easily reachable. I would surely book my next stay in Athens in this hotel.

We chose this hotel just because of its location. Indeed it is its greatest advantage. Located on a pedestrian street, just a stone's throw from Syntagma square and kolonaki, it is ideally located for shopping and strolling in the center of Athens. My room was small and basic, with a stuffy feeling. It was ok for just taking a bath...

This must be one of the most disgusting hotels i have ever stayed in. Service? Try no service. Filthy matress, filthy carpets. To be fair i was given one of the rooms in the back which must have made the experience even more intolerable.

The location is excellent for business and urban exploring. However you need to be ready to compromise decent service and the fact that smoking is pretty much allowed. The stuff actually make me feel bad for asking them why.

People were smoking in non smoking areas of the hotel. When we complaint to hotel staff were told that this is the norm and we were offered the option to sit outsite. Usually its the other way around but not in this hotel.

Friendly staff, pleasant room and a great location on a quiet pedestrian way loaded with cafes and restaurants. Easy walk to the Acropolis, Olympic Stadium, Placa and Central Market. Great breakfast, wide selection of items.

Just stayed there and the rooms smelled of smoke although we were allegedly given a non-smoking room - hmmm..then why was there an ashtray in the room. Front desk was unfriendly and upon arrival charged us extra for another adult - never heard of this policy. Usually the same rate for one or 2 adults if sharing one bed. Carpets...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
