This very comfortable hotel is typical of a quality European hotel. Had a great breakfast buffet. It is centrally located near public transportation. Has a great view of the Acropolis from the roof top patio.

Check-in was quick and easy and staff are nice and helpful. The rooms are nice, clean and feel quite modern. Not having an iron in the room was bit of a pain, especially for a business traveller. Breakfast was good and plentiful, the coffee is a bit weak though so order a double shot. We had lunch in the hotel...

We stayed having also stayed elsewhere in Athens. There is nothing to make the hotel stand out As a business hotel I was disappointed that there was no iron in the room. There were plenty of sockets which are very useful. The towels were shockingly poor -grey and worn - nice Greek toiletries. The back of the bathroom door could...

The room was okay, the interior design was a bit outdated. The service of the staff was very good. When there was something wrong with our room service and we called, they quickly came back to fix it. Breakfast was good, if you come early there are less people and less noise. The rooftop view is amazing, good city view...

The staff is superb!! They called and confirmed all of my booked tours and helped me get around the city. Even waiting for the tour bus the staff member overseeing the cafe came out to take orders for beverages. The rooms are clean, the workout room and sauna are wonderful with new equipment. For me everything smelled fresh which made...

Staying at Melia, Athens for my first visit to Greece was a great experience. The hotel was ideally located and all places of interest were easy accessible. The room is a bit small, but spacious enough. Smart design! Staff, front desk, room service, and restaurant (wonderful breakfast included) were friendly and professional in their conduct. Definitely want to stay there...

Excellent hotel to stay in. Lovely breakfast. Good rooms modern, nice and clean. Staff 10/10 very helpful and friendly. Only disappointed with the roof bar been closed during winter hours. Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
