Stayed there just two nights, location is great even though the area might seem a little scary at night but nothing to worry about. The guys at the reception were extremely helpfull, and overall great value of money.

This little hidden gem is a great base from which to explore Athens - it's close to restaurants, bars, transport and attractions. You can walk up to the Acropolis in half an hour if you really want to! Some rooms are bigger than others, but all are clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly, the included breakfast is so...

I found the staff excellent and the hotel is both clean and comfortable. It is located in the heart of the old city near a maze of narrow streets. The hotel is near the main Athens market and is situated half way between two metro stations (on two different lines).

If you approach in the middle of the night you might feel spooked as we did. Lots of graffiti everywhere. We woke up in the morning for a completely different feel. With coffee shops and restaurants just a block away. The metro was max a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is a cool modern design. There are some minor...

My stay at Arion was short but pleasant. The location is very convenient as you are at walking distances from the Parthenon and there is a lot to see on your way there. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. My only recommendation would be to add some lights to the balcony so guest can sit and enjoy a nice...

The hotel has modern facilities and a very helpful staff. Although it does has a very central and convenient location, travellers need to pay attention that it's located in Psirri neighborhood, which is not so nice as neighboring Plaka and Monastiraki (many hotel booking sites advertise this property at these other neighborhoods). We have booked directly with the hotel at...

A hidden gem in the back streets of Athens. Everything is within walking distance, with some lovely restaurants in the area. Monastriaki square is the closest to the hotel although it can be quite off putting with the area covered in graffiti and homeless about but if you look past that you will find some incredible places. A for Athens...

Good modern hotel, great value. Comfortable room, with nice view - better as you go up. Everything is walking distance. Very close to bars/restaurants, lively neighborhood, 5 minutes from the Monastraiki metro station. Good breakfast, friendly staff. To make perfect, I would add coffee/tea in the rooms, and better shower sealing.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
