In my 30 first minutes, I was bitten 4 times by bed-bugs. The staff was friendly, They changed me to another room but They didn't care about. After cleaning my clothes, everything was ok. The localitation is good and They have a nice roof but having bed-bugs around is a serious problem.

The hostel and its location had a delightful ambient feel with small french balcony overlooking the street. Staff were kind and ready to help. Beds are not so good, and sheets smelled funny, but they were clean. Shower and toilet are modest. Market and metro are close by, food and bakery in walking distance. You can see friendly people of...

Average Greek hostel... Fairly dirty showers, dorms have only 0.5 sockets per bed, no common rooms except the balcony on the top floor. Wi-Fi is useless, since it only works in the hallways and balcony. AC in the rooms was OK though. TLDR; This is just a place where you can leave your luggage and explore dull and ugly Athens.

It offers the basic conditions to stay in Athens for a reasonable price, but do not expect too much. The positive point is that it's near to Monastiraki metro station and you can go walking to many attractions.

Stayed here and got here late at night. The male greeted us but didn't give us any information. We were in one of the top rooms which was 6 flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase and did not get offered any help except 'there's a lot of stairs for you'. The showers were full with water at the bottom...

We spent 2 nights during august at Zeus Hostel and had a very bad experience. We had booked a dorm for 4 people me and my friends. The last morning, one of our friend left for a walk in the morning (7am) and didn't lock the door. When we started to pack our luggage we discovered that our money had...

It was a bad hostel. There were bugs on my bed when I arrived, it was terrifying to see this at a hostel. There are no proper sinks, no kitchen and there is only 1 key for the entire room of 4 people. I.e. if you don't know your flatmates, your screwed. The staff was meh, the area is super...

Good: - Location - Friendly staff - Price - Overall look and feel - Airconditioning - Generally clean Bad: - Wifi signal is weak in many places - Suspected (!) case of bed bugs on one of the beds in the shared dorm room I was staying (not my bed). Staff had another room ready for us and provided clean...

We stayed in this hostel for two nights and we were glad it wasn't any longer. The neighbourhood is quite rough and really dirty and as two girls travelling we didn't feel that safe if we were walking back at night. The showers were disgusting and the wifi signal was non-existent in the room. Wouldn't stay here again.

Awful experience!!! I arrived around 2am to do my check in and was informed that my booking was cancelled! Nobody let me know in advance about that. I lost the deposit and the place altogether! The reason: an incident in the room I spent two nights before in which I had absolutely nothing to do with! The receptionist (Stefanos is...

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
