Just visited as part of a week walking holiday with HF Holidays. The new manager ( in post for just over a month apparently) must have turned this place round as I can see no resemblance to the former critical reviews. The staff are friendly and efficient, it's very clean throughout, and whilst the service at the bar and restaurant...

We enjoyed very much our stay, spent a lot of time relaxing at the pool which is not excellently maintainted BUT feel like home. The rooms are above average but nothing special. Breakfast was good (extra thanks for fresh juice but should try changing the squeezing machine....) and with much choice but the stuff is always "there" in a not...

We experienced the most unfriendly and unhelpful staff and unhygienic breakfast. The hotel was advertised as serving all three meals which is important as it is in the middle of nowhere and the next town is a 10 minute drive away. Upon arrival we were told that lunch was not available and for dinner we needed to book in the...

Dear guests Deeply sorry for any inconvenience. Firstly to apologize that it was the last operation day of the year. After that day the hotel should close until next spring. Your booking made by our mistake because we did not close room availability in "on line booking channel" of Expedia. And finally to inform you and all our customers, that...

Spilia is a quiet hamlet 3km from Kolimbari; we were on a week's half board walking holiday. Stayed in room 103 of the main hotel, next to the entrance. Hotel and rooms look lovely, but not as practical as a UK budget hotel. Room lighting insufficient to read by, wi fi only in reception area. Young waiters' service was enthusiastic...

This was our third visit in row to the Nicolas Villa and we enjoyed it very much. The views from both rooms were fantastic and the location was perfect for a relaxing stay. During the night there was total silence apart from the sound of goats and roosters. The facilities in the villa were perfect and the minor problem with...

Stayed as part of a wedding group. The hotel was very well appointed and the staff friendly and very efficient and helpful. Bedroom was spacious and kept spotless. A good selection at breakfast. Hotel is a little out of the way. Unless you are prepared to just hang around the pool access to a car or being prepared to pay...

We stayed for 7 days in this beautiful hotel, in Spilia Village near to Balos, Elafonissi etc. Hotel is located in a fantastic green valley in the center of a small traditional Cretan village, 2,5 klm from the nearest beach. The place is very cute, breakfast, tavern, pool area! Everything was excellent!
