The hotel is amazing. The location is also perfect. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable, clean and perfectly decorated. Konstantinos and his mother are really very nice and helpful persons. We enjoyed is very much and we will definitely come back to this Hotel!
I cannot say enough good words about this hotel. Konstantinos and Katerina were the perfect hosts, we were a party of 8 who had booked this trip in 2019 and right throughout C19 we were kept informed and despite three date changes Katerina helped us so much. The rooms (we had two junior suites and two superior studios) were excellent. Always clean, fresh towels each day, comfortable and great air conditioning. My wife Lesley had a birthday while we were there and Katerina and the team provided a beautiful cake and joined us to sing happy birthday at breakfast. The breakfast was excellent always and served with so much care and always a smile. I cannot recommend the casa highly enough, please stay, you will enjoy it and leave with some fantastic memories. It is genuinely a beautiful building and the care taken in restoring it to its natural beauty is also taken in ensuring you have a wonderful stay. Katerina and Konstantinos, we all thank you so much and wish you the happiness and success you deserve. We love this place and will hopefully return to see you all soon. Two nights at Casa dei Delfino. Beautiful Venetian building, family run, nice people, comfortable bed, hot shower, rooftop terrace views. Can’t ask for much more for a boutique hotel in the centre of Rethymnon.
We have been staying here for years. This must be one of the best hotels in Chania. It comprises two Venetian/Turkish buildings in the heart of the Old Town. They have been transformed into a stylish and comfortable hotel. Every fitting, every piece of furniture, every architectural feature has been carefully chosen. Historical features have been carefully preserved e.g. the wells, the Turkish hamam, the great arches etc. A few years ago Katerina and Vangelis, aided by their architect son, Konstantinos set about restoring and re-purposing the derelict next door building. This was probably part of a Dominican monastery and the huge ground floor space has been turned into a breakfast room and a place to sit and relax. If you are familiar with the British TV series Grand Designs, you could imagine this is the Greek equivalent and you will appreciate just how much effort has gone into re-establishing this important building. Book early – this is a very sought-after hotel.…
From entrance to exit, from sunrise to sunset, everyone at the Delfini was helpful, gracious, efficient, and accommodating. The physical spaces, individual rooms, breakfast area and lobby, manage to take advantage of the charm and age of the building along with modern day comforts. My only criticism of the hotel and the Delfini experience is that I mistakenly only was there for two nights. I would return to the Delfini in a jiffy. Thank you to Katarina, Elena, and Constantine for making our stay so pleasant.
The house is beautifully restored, in a way that enables you to glimpse what it was, with features well preserved, especially in the breakfast room. Our room was on the ground floor, opening in a courtyard, with a wells (covered) inside, and the bed tucked in an arcade (beware your head if you wake up in the dark). The room was well furnished, the breakfast was tasty (buffet breakfast with good products). This was a very good overnight stay. Our room was interesting but it would have been impossible to have natural light without exposing the whole inside of the room to whichever client passing in the courtyard as the only windows were courtyard level. It was fine for one night but might have felt oppressive for longer.
This was our first time in Crete and we spent ages looking at hotels and trawling through reviews before finally settling on Case dei Delfini! From start to finish Konstantinos has been wonderful! Answering my numerous questions and arranging the airport tranfers for us. Our flight was delayed so we didn't arrive till after midnight but he was up waiting to greet us and show us to our beautiful room. Water and a very nice bottle of wine waiting for us went down a treat! The hotel itself is simply gorgeous! It is so so peaceful and you feel like you are in another world, a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Rethmyno.........but a 5 minute walk takes you right to the little streets with all the lovely shops and restaurants. We stayed in room 7 which is a junior suite and we loved it! It has a little terrace with table and chairs, ideal for morning coffee then evening wine! The room is very spacious with a fab shower and it is so so clean. Breakfast.........oh my! Absolutely delicious and so much to choose from! The wonderful Helena made us eggs every morning and she is an absolute credit to the hotel! We had so much to eat at breakfast, we skipped lunch every day! Must give a shout out to Katerina (Konstantinos's mother) who is so friendly and has a smile on her face at all times! We cannot recommed this beautiful hotel enough and hope to return one day!…
Excellent location for exploring the town and lots of restaurants & drinking places very close by, very clean & comfortable rooms and very pleasant staff, very good breakfast and setting Would always recommend this hotel for a stay in Rethymnon
Located in the old town along a pedestrian walkway in a recently renovated building - very classy! Research your parking alternatives in advance and know your way to the hotel to keep your walk with luggage to a minimum which should be no more than 400 meters. The reception was very pleasant and helpful including mapping out what we could see on our way the next day to Heraklion. Breakfast had everything we needed and was top quality.
A short walk from the main road, down a beautiful quiet, narrow street of the Old Town sits this stunning boutique hotel. Vast wooden doors open into a spacious, tranquil reception and from that moment we realised that we had found a little gem. The hotel is run by the family (mother and son) who have lovingly restored this venetian mansion. You could be forgiven in thinking that the property has only recently opened as it is absolutely immaculate - in fact it has been open for many years! Scaled back design, where careful consideration has been given so that the original features of the historic building are the decorations - it really is a work of art. We stayed in Room 7 - a junior suite (the one with the fireplace in the photos). It has everything that we needed for our 10 nights stay. It comes with a small kitchen area that included a fridge, sink and 2 electric rings. Theres a table and chairs inside and also a patio area outside with a dining set and a very useful clothes drying line. We looked forward to returning to our room and spending time in it after the hustle and bustle of the vibrant and beautiful narrow streets of Old Town Rethymnon. Breakfast was great - good coffee and orange juice and fresh eggs prepared to our liking each day. There was a good choice of a continental breakfast that (not surprisingly) is displayed immaculately each morning. The owners cannot do enough to help. They have maps and a great knowledge of the area and are always on hand to assist. There is only a small group of staff running this hotel and they all seem to work to the same high standards with smiles on their faces - rooms are cleaned around the differing times that each guests are out so we weren’t inconvenienced in any way. We travel quite a lot and it’s not often that we can give 10/10 . We have loved staying here - Thank you Casa Dei Delfini ❤️…
