I just had breakfast in Pylaia hotel, since I own a house in Astypalaia. I must say the variety was big, icluding international as well as local delicasies. Omelettes, pies, pastries, fresh orange juice was only a part of the buffet. Cost 11 euros/person. They only thing I didn't like was the fact that they didn't give us any receipt....

First of all the location presented in website and tripadvisor is wrong. The hotel is located in an area without any view. Tge service is not proffessional but the rooms are clean and modern designed. The breakfast is just ok. Overall is overpriced in comparisson to other alternatives on the island.

The rooms are inviting, the beds comfortable and the staff always offering to go that extra step. The hotel is well situated, between Chora and the Livadi and the beaches on offer are like no other. The hotel offers everything a luxury hotel has to offer with the...

This is my third visit in this exquisite hotel. And its getting better every time. Right outside Chora the Pylaia is built on the side of a hill that overlooks the sea. All rooms are fantastically decorated with a modern feel of understated luxury. Perfect matresses, linen and soft towels await you. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Everything is homemade...

A great hotel on a wonderful island! We are a family of five and we spend one week on the hotel. The location is great with a very nice view of the aegean sea and within walking distance of the Chora (the main town of the island). Each room is very tastefully decorated and the beds are really amazing. Astypalea...

Very nice hotel overall, great staff, good value, probably the best hotel on the island. Big room, well insulated. Only real negative was the long walk to the closest beach, especially the return uphill. But, rent a car, and you can visit all the other great beaches on this island. The same family owns the AKTI restaurant in HORA. Try...

I would not advise anyone to avoid this hotel however, expectations need to be managed. Here are the positives and negatives: Positives - our suite was spacious with good...
