We visited Patmos at the end of August but the island was full of people. So we were surprised we found this hotel with excellent new rooms at very low prices. The owners are very kind and they try to offer anything you may need. Maids clean the room daily and the rooms are so tastefully decorated you may forget going to the beach... There was a modern electric cooker in teh room so we enjoyed preparing our dinner and having it with cold beer on the wonderful balcony.

Fabulous hotel with amazing views. Very friendly staff and great value. All the basics available in the rooms including fridge, hairdryer, ensuite. 10 minute walk along the seafront into the centre so quiet at night. Right on the front with views across the whole bay. Highly recommended.

We came to Patmos without a reservation. I had read about this hotel in one of the travel books we had, and when we got off the ferry, I saw someone holding a sign for the hotel. I asked her how much and she said 30 EU and she insisted that I come look at it, and if we didn't like it, she would bring us back to the harbor.

The hotel was really off the beaten path, which was good. It was at the end of the harbor -- about a 10-15 minute walk to town center, and right next door to a great restaurant. We had told them we wanted the room for 2 nights, but as it turned out, we needed it 3 nights because the ferry to Samos did not run on the day we needed it. Unfortunately, she was booked with a Greek tour that night, but she let us stay in a two bedroom apartment for the same price. It was nice, but the view from the room we had was terrific. No view from the apartment.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. As it turns out (and as is usual for Greece), the hotel was quite a family affair....as was the rental car agency next door (which we used, and it was great!), and the restaurant, which, as I said, was also great. Breakfast at the hotel was only OK.

This is a hotel that is well worth visiting!

Where to begin rooms look nothing like what we stayed in. The bed spread had cigarette holes as did the linen. Even when catching a taxi and told them where we were staying they even commented saying it was a very bad hotel. Air conditioner kept cutting out. Bathrooms are very old and dirty. Breakfast bar, we didn't even bother. The hotel itself is very old and run down I don't know what renovations there talking about maybe the reception and bar area or the managers room where he will be found entertaining his friends and family and very arrogant. Seriously I would not bother staying there again it is a health risk. Shop around as there are much nicer hotels around at the same cost maybe check rooms before you commit.

The owners of hotel Hellenis on the beautiful island of Patmos are super friendly and helpful.
The hotel has nice and very clean rooms, with a beautiful view on Skala harbour and the monastery on the hill in Chora.

Next door there is a nice restaurant, and only 10 mins walk away there is a quiet beach.

We arranged by phone a price of 40 Euro and when we checked out they told us that the price was 55. They said it was a mistake and there is now way that they told us such a price. Unacceptable behavior...

we stayed at the studio apartment which is part of the Hellinis hotel. The staff are so friendly and willing to help with anything even picked us up from the port and dropped us back off at the end of the stay. Great value as the room was absolutely spotless and neat and cleaned everyday for us. Would definitely head back if we ever return in Patmos.

Had a wonderful stay here.
The whole building and gardens were immaculate. Our room and shower room were spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and quiet and effective air conditioning.
The balcony faced the bay with open views.
The hotel is in a quiet situation, a 10 minute stroll into the centre of Skala.
The owner is welcoming and helpful.
I look forward to staying here on future visits to Patmos.

We were looking for a value for money accomodation in a quite place where we could also park the car. This place was really cheap and did not know what to expect. It was couple of minutes away from the crowded center. In this family run hotel everybody was very friendly and polite. They gave us tips for the beaches and sightseeings. The hotel itself is old but renovated and the rooms basic and very clean. The view from the balcony was great.

We only stayed one night in this hotel but would definitely return and recommend. We were met off of the ferry by the owner and taken by car to the hotel. The room was lovely, very clean and bright with good sized veranda overlooking the bay. The location was quiet and a short walk from the busy end of the harbour. We aim to return to Patmos and would definitely go back to the Hellinis.
