This is run by a mom and son. We had two rooms and one of them had a balcony with great views. It was cold in Hydra when we visited in November, and it did not help that the heat (air-conditioner) in the balcony room was not working. We had to go out for dinner and come back and wait...

We stayed here for six nights. Hydra itself is magical and enchanting. Achilleas Pensioin is great for the price. It is clean and comfortable and charming. It is not luxury but basic comfort for the budget conscious traveler. There is a central courtyard covered with flowers to relax in. It is a family run business and they do the very...

A bit above the port with its hassle and bastle, Achilleas Pension is a family-run guest house with all the advantages such places offer. For better and for worse, you become one of the family, including the laundry that you hang on the roof and the queen mother that reminds you to tie your shoes. Rooms are clean and spacious,...

We stayed for one night only and for this reason we were placed in the dungeon. The bedroom is downstairs, dark, with a small window, poor lighting, no place to hang the swimsuits and towels to dry. The bathroom is horrible and needs a renovation, shower is not clean, curtain shower full of mold. I have allergies, and the wall...

The room was clean and fit three (for the most part, the room door did bump one of the twin beds). The staff was moderately friendly. The breakfast (not included with the price of the room) was completely subpar, but was offset by the redeeming value found in cold air conditioning. My main complaint was the sad food and the...

We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Easy to find & in a very quiet area, 5 mins walk to the waterfront. Unfortunately there was a ferry strike the day after we arrived but the owners did all in their power to organise our trip back to Athens for our next flight - we would have never...

Very friendly, helpful and funny owner, stunning courtyard, a lovely, quiet property set back from the harbour among the alleys, very comfortable room and bed, an excellent breakfast, efficient Wi-Fi, very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this pension in August and took the family room with 3 single beds and a double. As accommodations in hydra are quite expansive, Achilleas Pension was an affordable choice. The room does not provide much intimacy but beds are OK and you have a small fridge if you wish to store some foods for a small lunch....

Ok, I'll start with the Ups. Compared to most other "Pensions"/Guest Houses/Hotels in Hydra, this one is close to the main center of the Island. Being near, and not in the central harbour, means less noise and that's a plus for me. Their wifi connection was really good. Meaning steady, 16mbps and 2.something upload, which is better than the connection...

I usually never go with someone I meet on the street for a hotel. But this lady got us to go to her pension. Turns out it was one I had read about. Got a good room. Even had t.v.with English and German Channel. Wonderful Greek style breakfast which we could not finish but kept in our refrigerator for later....
