My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Ippokampos Hotel. From check in to check out all staff were consistently kind, polite and helpful. The hotel is small, only 24 rooms. Our room and the common areas were very clean. We were lucky enough to have a room on the top floor with a large balcony overlooking the courtyard.... More

My wife and I stopped here for a couple of nights on our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. Excellent front desk staff, very friendly and accomodating. Simple but tasty breakfast. Air-conditioned and clean room, with a roomy balcony and a beautiful view. A quick walk from the port, and no stairs. Say hi to our breakfast companion, a friendly... More

Jewel of a family run hotel. What a wonderful place. Only stayed a couple of nights but will definitely consider when returning to Hydra. We had a room on the 2nd floor with access to the terrace that overlooks the village and the harbor. Clean rooms and clean hotel everywhere. Excellent atmosphere. Really nice place. Breakfast is large but you... More

We LOVED this hotel! I stayed here with my mother and grandmother, so I was looking for something pretty and clean, and nearby the harbour so we wouldn't have to walk too far or up stairs etc. The owner was very nice and the rooms were constantly being cleaned for us. The murals inside are a very nice touch!

Ippokampos is a cosy hotel 300 meters --without having to climb any stairs--from Hydra Habor, Greece. Rooms are comfortable to sleep at night. The main attraction is the large courtyard which becomes alive at breakfast when guests join one another at separate tables and chose their food from a common bar-like buffet indoors, after which a elegant lady serves you... Booked to stay in Ippokampos Hotel for five nights whilst attending a scientific conference at another hotel on Hydra. At €90 per night (double room, single occupancy), I was very pleased with the value for money. Location could not be better: just a few minutes from the port and all the restaurants. Room was clean and spacious. Plenty of electrical... More

This place was great! Easy to get to, clean, updated, terrific service, and a very good value for your money! Everything is painted with no signs of wear and tear (they really upkeep the hotel). We enjoyed this place so much as we ate a wonderful breakfast (great variety and quality), sat in the shaded courtyard and slept in a... More

Nice people. Nice location. Good value for money. Not a lot of people there at the time but I think that's better! Good quality of service! Really close to Athens if you would like the big city experience.

Ippokampos (Seahorse) Hotel was wonderful! The room was very comfortable. The terrace was so inviting with a beautiful view. Each day we spent time just looking and listening: donkeys, roosters and cats!!! The breakfast had everything you could want. No, they don't make your breakfast to order but they covered everything. It was a short and lovely walk to the... More

Great location very close to the port. The rooms are nice decorated and have a great view and a beautiful terrace. Breakfast is great, homemade bread and pastries, marmelades and cakes. Very polite and helpful staff.
