Completely renovated and reopened in 2019. Our small family run boutique hotel is well located in Copenhagen. We are close to cozy cafes, restaurants for all tastes and local shops. Østerbro is one of the greenest areas in the city. You can take a run in the public common of Fælledparken, a dip in the sea or see a football match with friends at the Parken stadium. A walk by the lake brings you to the inner city of Copenhagen, the historic Kastellet citadel, The Queens castle Amalienborg or the little Mermaid at Langelinie. The hotel is set in an old large grand apartment from 1905. All rooms are decorated with decorative wall papers and beautiful colours. We have spent months travelling around the country to find vintage furniture designed by Nordic architects. In the morning, you will wake up the smell of homemade organic buns and fresh coffee. Every afternoon you can enjoy a cup of tea and freshly baked cake to the sound of jazz – or catch the last rays of sun on the balcony.

In the charming neighborhood of Østerbro you find two floors with about 20 rooms of what we Scandinavians call «hygge».

Claus, Charlotte and their little entourage of Argentinian coworkers are the friendliest hosts you’ll ever experience. They serve you coffee and banana bread in the evening and share stories, reflections on life and smiles in the morning.

Vintage Nordic furniture, Motown in the speakers and magazines on the coffee tables never feels gimmicky, it just feels like home.

Will be back.

PS don’t sleep on the chia pudding with apple jam for breakfast - it is the truth! 🔥

This is a great little hotel and would be coming back if I return to Copenhagen! The best way to describe this is homely - the building and rooms have character and it doesn't feel like a bland service like some other hotels. The staff feel like one big family, always smiling and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great time. Special shout out to super -host Lovisa who even gave me an amazing guided tour of the city!
The hotel is not quite in the city centre, but right next to a metro stop and also the walk into the centre is past some lovely lakes full of swans, herons and cormorants. Also they rent out bikes at a very reasonable price which I definitely recommend to explore the city. The breakfast is freshly baked in the morning which creates a brilliant smell through the whole hotel when you wake up, and is very good!
The only negative is the lack of en-suite bathrooms, but I did not have any issue having to wait in line to use them and they are always clean. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Beautifully decorated boutique style hotel. The rooms have large comfy beds and openable windows (fresh air, no nasty air-con) so we had the best sleep every night. The bathrooms are shared, but we never had any issues as there were 4 showers located on our floor. The dining room and lounge area are very cosy and you can help yourself to tea/coffee and freshly baked cake throughout the day. There is also an honesty bar with wine/beers and snacks. The metro station is just around the corner, so it is perfectly located and the area is quiet but with plenty of restaurants/bars nearby. The staff really make the place though - they are all so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

We recently had an enjoyable stay at Rye 115 and thought it very much fitted the tag of a boutique hotel; it was unusual in a nice way, quaint and cosy. The hotel did things slightly differently!

There are a few things which stood out for us about Rye 115. The first is the ethos of sustainability that runs through the running of this hotel. For instance as advertised on the hotel's website, the furniture is mostly up-cycled and the bathrooms are shared. I know hotels in the main mostly have ensuite facilities and this may cause some people to have reservations about staying here, but I would say that the bathrooms in Rye115 are really well kept and of a good standard.

The second thing that springs to mind is the breakfast - it is really good and we have retuned home looking up recipes for chai pudding. What better praise for the food than that! Oh and it should be said that the staff were friendly and always happy to help.

Thanks for the stay and the hospitality.

Thank you so much for this great review. We have deliberately chosen to make shared bathrooms to protect the environment, the bathrooms must be 100% clean at all times, so we are glad to hear that you had a good experience. We are convinced that high quality and fresh ingredients make a big difference. It is therefore nice to hear that our breakfast could inspire you to make your own :) Best Regards, Suzette & Mette

Having read the reviews for Rye115 I was aware that it was a bit different to other hotels. The main complaints were that sometimes it can be noisy in the corridor at night and there were no en-suite rooms. This is true (although I brought ear plugs and had no issue) even through New Years!

Arrived to a beautiful cosy living room and tea. Breakfast was superb with homemade rolls/banana bread and friendly conversation. After a clear oversight with packing, the staff provided us with a adaptor for a phone charger AND toothpaste (thanks very much). Would definitely stay again!

It may not look like much from the outside but the moment I stepped in I was warmly greeted by the staff. It was like coming come to an old friend. That's not something you experience very often in a hotel. I was offered coffee and tea while smells of freshly baked bread for breakfast next morning were coming from the kitchen.
My room was very nice and I slept like a baby. Rye115 comes highly recommended from me.

Comfortable, homey, welcoming, quaint, authentic. With a simple and delicious homemade breakfast. There were some plumbing problems while we were there, which caused leaking and a persistent foul odor in the bathrooms. but assuming those got fixed, we did not mind at all the shared bathrooms, which were cute and kept very clean. It would be great if guests had a way to make more hot water /coffee when staff wasn’t there, as it runs out quickly in the evening. But that was a minor issue. Bring earplugs, as it can be loud since building is old, you hear other guests moving around. Overall we loved our stay at Rye 115 and would stay again. It was such a different kind of hotel experience, one we recommend experiencing.

This was my second stay at Rye115 in the span of two months and both times the room, amenities, and service has been impeccable. The team is welcoming, personal and helpful, and despite the shared bathrooms both stays have felt very private. Breakfast is quintessentially Danish - tasty buns and yellow cheese, yoghurt with (seemingly homemade) granola, juice and coffee. If you are accustomed to large continental breakfast buffets, just be prepared for something different, but in my opinion just as good!

Location-wise it's near one of the well-known Copenhagen "lakes" ("søerne") and plenty of great food and drink options nearby. And a very short walk to the metro station Triangelen which gets you to the Copenhagen city centre in less than 15 minutes!

Rye115 its exactly what you want from a home away from home! Couldn't recommend it more warmly!

Excellent location near some nice restaurants and very close to the metro to explore the city. Shared bathroom facilities slightly unnerving but for the price paid and location, it easily offsets to retain a very good rating. Staff helpful.

We only stayed for one night but wish I would have stayed longer. Place is unique and lovely interior. The staff is very friendly and gave us a great welcoming. We had breakfast on the patio, still warm homemade bread juice musli fruit croissant and as much coffe and tea as you like around the clock. There’s also a small self serve bar available. Bathrooms are shared which I was a bit concerned with. However since it is a small place the bathrooms were literally one meter from our room and never occupied. The whole place is very clean and feels both luxurious and homey at the same time. I definitely recommend this if you want a unique experience of Copenhagen and not your standard hotel. Price is good and location as well. Good for couples or families.

No, they have shared bathrooms. I had no objections, 2 bathrooms with toilet and saparate toilet for ~ 5 rooms were clean and comfortable. Never experienced waiting in a que.
