Very nice location of the hotel , 10 minute walk from the Central train station . Regular bus service to other places of the city from Tivoli hotel which is next door . Tivoli garden is in walking distance . You can catch various city tour buses from Vesterbrogade .The hotel itself is very clean . Very efficient reception staff...

I stayed here from the 2nd to the 4th of Decemeber and it was pretty good. Great location, and really cheap for what you get. Hotel staff were nice. The breakfast buffet was alright, could have a larger selection. The shower was really great, good flow of water and constant temperature. Overall I recommend this for people who just want...

Stayed here for only one night for about 500 dkk so for Danish standards it was pretty reasonably priced. Its an easy walk from the central train station maybe about 10 minutes. We arrived early in the morning so we left our luggage in lockers for 20dkk and walked to Tivoli Gardens which is just around the corner. The hotel...

I had doubts when I read that this hotel is only a 2 star hotel, but if I had not known this whilst staying there I would have thought it had a much higher star rating. We stayed as a couple on the 8th floor (booked the Wakeup Sky option as the standard cheaper option was fully booked.) The room...

We stayed two nights in this hotel to attend the Christmas markets here. It is only a short walk (8-10m) to Tivoli gardens and the train station. Rooms are modern and clean. The railroad tracks are in front of the hotel but our were not interrupted at all. Breakfast costs extra at 70ddk, and there is only a limited amount...

Copenhagen Station is the first place most people will experience, and Wakeup in no more than a 10-15 minute walk away. I believe the hotel is also on a bus route with the station. Likewise, Tivoli Gardens and beyond are easily walk-able in what is an ideal location. There are plenty of eating and drinking establishments close by, so the...

The Wakeup Copenhagen provides fantastic value for money in a city where accommodation is typically very expensive. It is ideally located for a city adventure, just 5 or 10 minutes walk from central train station. The room, although small, was very clean and served me well as I was staying there alone. I would say it is still suitable for...

Excellent and clean hotel which is within walking distance to the central station. Beds are comfy and toilets are clean and well-maintained.Able to rent bicycles from the hotel for a city tour but the only problems are that the bikes are a tad too tall(as with most city bikes) for an asian girl like me, but i survived it:)

We stayed at the hotel at my sister's recommendation. It was conveniently located but we had to walk a lot which was good for the heart. It was a sort of boutique hotel with translucent doors for the bathroom, but no single beds. If you are travelling as two separate people forget it because all the rooms are single doubles...

Copenhagen is an incredibly expensive city to visit, and that also applies to the hotel rooms. Wakeup Copenhagen works well as a budget hotel room, but at the end of the day, if I ever visit again, I think I'll try finding somewhere else, maybe outside the center further down the train lines since the trains/metro really was very convenient...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
