AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen earns praise from many travelers for its sleek modernity and cleanliness, though some encounters with room readiness have marred impressions. While the location draws mixed reviews, with some guests finding it less than ideal and others appreciating the nearby metro access, the rooms themselves offer striking views and contemporary features despite some cleanliness and size concerns. The hotel's amenities, including a well-regarded breakfast buffet and gym, are a hit, although limitations such as small dining spaces have been noted.
Despite the modern design, some guests feel the atmosphere lacks warmth. Service experiences vary, with commendations for friendliness alongside criticisms for inefficiency. Many guests argue that the hotel's value is diminished by high costs for parking and amenities.

Hotel in good location although away from the city center and casino. A two-minute walk from the metro with which in a few minutes you arrive right in the city center, close to some bars and restaurants.
An excellent bar at the entrance of the hotel where snacks and quick meals are also served. A small shop where snacks, water, wine, beer, etc. are sold. The rooms are not very large but functional and very well soundproofed.
We were on the 22nd floor and the view was unparalleled. We haven't tried the 23rd floor restaurant/bar, but hearing from other guests it's worth a visit just to drink.
If I really have to find small flaws that they could fix without much effort:
1) increase reception staff. Normally there is only one person who takes care of the ceck in and ceck out and, given the amount of people passing through this hotel, it is not enough. Upon our arrival and only when the line became really long, about 10 people waiting (many of whom were part of a group), the attendant called for backup.
2) water available in the rooms: we did not have it for the four days of stay although to tell the truth we did not even request it when we realized that it was not present in the room, while our friends did but only on arrival. Once consumed the two bottles were not replaced.

My stay at the AC Hotel was excellent; from the hotel aesthetics to the service, it was top notch! The hotel is located away from the city centre but it’s an easy journey by metro to the city centre and airport and just a short trip by metro and train to Malmo. Although not “hopping” there are several restaurants and cafes nearby. The hotel, as expected in Scandinavia, has a very modern feel both inside and out. Standard rooms are good sized with floor to ceiling windows, spacious bathrooms, and comfortable beds. One of the things I appreciate when travelling is a good breakfast and this hotel didn’t disappoint. Even for those guests for whom breakfast is not included, they offered complimentary pastries, fruit, and coffee. The breakfast buffet, however, was absolutely fantastic. A wide array of quality and delicious options. A special shoutout to Leonardo who provided not only great service and was helpful but also great conversation.

I had given my brother a trip to Copenhagen and we were to stay at Bella Sky from Friday to Saturday. I had found the stay via Sweetdeal.dk, and sometimes when you do, you can experience that you feel like a different guest in the hotel you visit. This was not the case at all! We were received by a young man named Narathorn (hopefully it is spelled correctly) and he was so sweet and friendly. In addition to helping with parking he asked us to come back to the reception when we had parked, because he had just a little extra for us. He asked how far up we were going to stay, and he and my brother joked about my height scare, so we said no thanks to the bath higher up and ended up on the 18th floor. In addition, we also got a voucher for the bar. We have never tried this before with Sweetdeal.dk. The breakfast was also really good and with huge selection. We would love to come back and recommend 100% Bella Sky. And despite the height scare I can appreciate a great view!!

The key ingredient for a good hotel in my opinion is having a comfortable bed and this is the area where AC Bella Sky fails miserably. It is a typical Danish bed with a thin mattress on a platform but so much more uncomfortable then any other I have experienced. The pillows are comically small and only three pillows on a queen size bed. This alone would stop me from ever recommending the hotel or staying there again.
Unfortunately the disappointment did not stop with the bed. The hallways are disgustingly dirty and extremely narrow making it difficult to navigate past the service carts. If you are in tower two you need to take a very large elevator up one floor, walk across a bridge, and then take an extremely small elevator up to your room floor. It is very inconvenient if you are travelling with a lot of luggage. There are four restaurants in the hotel but only one is open for lunch and dinner on Sundays and Mondays. The pool was closed and appeared that it had been for some time but no notice of this on the website.
The only good thing about the hotel is the lobby. The lobby is gorgeous with an amazing living wall. But don't be fooled that is where the good ends. Marriott should be ashamed to have this hotel in the portfolio.

Response from Silvia Rosado, Guest Services / Front Office at AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen
Responded May 8, 2024
Dear Phi, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. Your feedback is extremely valuable as it helps us identify areas where we can improve our guests' experience, and I have shared it with the different department teams to ensure that necessary guidelines are in place and reviewed to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. I'm very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the comfort of our beds and pillows. We understand the importance of a good night's sleep, and it is disheartening to know that we were unable to provide you with the comfort you expected. We recognize that each guest has different preferences, which is why we offer a variety of pillow options, each with different types and levels of comfort. All our guests have access to a pillow menu in their rooms, where they can select and request pillows free of charge. I apologize if for some unforeseen reason this information was not noted during your stay. Should you choose to stay with us again in the future, please do not hesitate to contact our front desk team, who are available 24/7 to assist our guests. From your words, I also understand that your assigned room was in Tower two. This is the tower where you can find our panoramic restaurant, gym facilities, and convenient access to the congress center, which are often reasons why guests prefer this location. However, I understand that this may not have been suitable for you this time. Please know that by contacting reception, we can always attempt to find another room with a more convenient location. Moreover, contacting us in advance allows us to personalize your experience even more according to your preferences. So please do not hesitate to do so. We are here to assist you. Regarding our SPA, it has been closed for a few years, and we make every effort to update this information online. Once again, I do apologize for any misunderstanding in this regard and the frustration caused. On a positive note, I'm pleased to hear that you appreciated the beauty of our lobby. As a design hotel with unique architecture, we take pride in creating spaces that captivate our guests. And your kind words are truly appreciated. We wait for the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. I assure you we will do our best to demonstrate the high standard of hospitality we aim to provide. Warm Regards

We stayed in this hotel during a backpacking trip across Northern Europe for two nights. The hotels architecture is very interesting in photos and from a distance but we were surprised how poorly maintained this property is. The white cladding on the towers looks dirty up close and the landscape surrounding the hotel and large parking lot has dead trees and uncut grass. We’ve never been impressed by legacy AC Hotels in Europe and this one fits that bill. The softgoods in the rooms are worn and general upkeep of the walls, windows and surfaces in this large property are very un-Marriott like. We arrived just before 8 PM on a Thursday and were told the restaurant on level 2 was the only one open to guests with children. The lounges with other dining options on the upper floors were closed to parties with children after 8 PM. Unfortunately the restaurant was only serving two different burgers so we left and walked down the street to JEG, a pizza restaurant. The only options in the immediate area are pizza and sushi. The hotel’s immediate area is under construction with many apartment buildings and even a short walk from the metro station (M1/M2) required walking around construction debris and into the street. We were surprised how getting to the hotel from public transit was so disorderly. Having spent four weeks in Switzerland this summer where things are generally very organized and people extremely respectful of one another we were surprised how dangerous this area and Copenhagen in general is to pedestrians. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again due to its location, lack of maintenance/upkeep and lack of local dining options.

Even if it’s an AC by Marriott, some standards are met. In general a very good stay. The hotel is located outside the city center premises but there is a metro station near by, or you can even rent one of the thousands bikes, e-bikes or scooters that are scattered around the area. Rooms are spacious with lots of light, bathrooms as well equipped with KORRES beauty products. Personnel very kind with a smile on their faces eager to assist you with everything that you might need. On the 23rd floor is a bar with a breathtaking view of the city but didn’t have the time to visit it and the lounge bar on the ground floor is also a nice spot to relax. Breakfast was ok, but had higher expectations to be honest. Could need a little more variety especially on the egg side. The biggest disadvantage is parking, or better the absence of parking. Don’t know what’s the deal with Denmark but if you are travelling by car, parking is super expensive EVERYWHERE. There are no free spots. Around the premises of the hotel the parking for a day is around 40€ per day. If you check though with one of the provided apps you can find some other places, around 2klm from hotel with a price of 7€ per day. Worth checking out and if you feel like getting to your car you can always rent a bike/ scooter.

Stayed at Bella Sky 1/11-2/11 stood up to a queue of about 50m for breakfast. When the queue had barely moved in 30 minutes. We gave up getting breakfast. I asked for a refund of some of the money as it was not possible to get breakfast. The answer was that it could not be done since breakfast was paid in advance.
I've never experienced such poor service. I'll never be staying at Bella Sky again

The Bella Sky is collocated with a large convention/trade show facility. It's not in downtown Copenhagen. Don't let that put you off. Just a short walk away is a stop for the main transportation link into the center of the city. The Bella Sky is not far from Copenhagen's biggest Shopping Center and is within easy access of the Airport for arrivals or departures. The rooms are ultramodern with floor to ceiling glass affording stunning views from the upper floors. The elevators are very fast and arrive quickly. Everything we saw was squeaky clean, beginning with the bathroom and continuing through the public areas. The main restaurant was not open during our stay, but the bistro provided decent food. Anderson's Bakery, just down the street, may be the best in Copenhagen! If you're not wedded to in-town bustle and accompanying prices, the Bella Sky is an excellent choice for visiting Copenhagen.

I pay for breakfast in advance and as breakfast is closed at check out I order a picnic to take away during check-in. They answer that it is not possible because I have to order it 24 hours before arriving at the hotel. Fourteen hours before that, it's not enough for them to make a modest sandwich.
On top of that they had me waiting two hours to give me room for overoccupancy when 20 people passed me by.
The toilet visible by your companion in the room. I had to go to the restaurant toilet to be intimate.

If more than 1000 guests are offered space, but the breakfast room only allows a fraction of the guests to sit, this is an absolute mismatch. Waited over 30 minutes in line that looked like it was on the roller coaster at Disneyland. Hotel is simply overloaded at full capacity. Ironically, there is even a “time light” when to go to breakfast due to overcrowding. The hotel is therefore aware of the grievance but nothing is changed.

Sorry I can't respond in Danish. Yes, you could book a room and celebrate your anniversary. There are 2 nice restaurants for lunch and dinner, a breakfast buffet and a nice bar. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the metro. Hope this helps.

Sorry I dont know the answer to your questions, as I had a company car collect me from and back to the airport. I recommend you contact the hotel directly.
