Good location close to the railway station and Tivoli. Clean rooms, but old fashioned. No mini bar or safe. Quiet atmosphere. Nice breakfast, but room a bit crowded. The hotel has a non smoking policy, but the rooms and corridors smelt terrible of old tobacco smoke. We stayed with younger children and they were very upset about this. Why dont't...

Excellent central location and really friendly staff. The whole hotel is past its best but it is very clean and in the middle of everything. Quiet with comfie beds but few hotel facilities. No lounge, nowhere to get a coffee, no bar. But I would stay again for the cleanliness and the location. I didn't have breakfast, plenty of cafes...

The location is prime as it is close to the main shopping street and Tivoli Gardens. The hotel itself is a bit dated but the staff is very accommodating. The stay was good, but yes, rooms are on the smaller side and it's a bit dated.

The location of this hotel is superb, near the Railway station and almost in the centre of the city. The rooms are somewhat outdated, but for a short stay, good enough Breakfast was fine, fresh food and a great variety. No noise, not from the other rooms nor from the street. The bathroom was okay, clean and spacious

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the heart of Copenhagen during April 2017. We had a large room with bed and another room with a sofa bed. There was electric jug for making tea or coffee at room. The hotel feels old but I must say it falls into that better part of being old. You get...

Friendly staff, great locality. Within 100m from Tivoli Gardens, lovely walk through shopping centre to Nyhaven. We didn't book breakfast so can't comment but we did have lunch at resturant attached which was great. Would recommend.

Grand Hotel is a very nice old building, with an excellent location near the central station. Lobby is quite spacious and oldfashioned, with friendly staff working at reception. We chose a budget room, which was very small but good enough for just sleeping. Furniture a bit old and worn, but for the price paid we could not complain. Corridors and...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
