For a 2 night stay away in the city, this was perfect. Excellent value for money and not too fancy. We just wanted a quick getaway trip where we could get up in the morning and go wandering around the city! Ideal location right next to the central station and near everything! The bed was comfy and bathroom clean! There...

Stayed here on business in March 2017. Chose this hotel based on location to the main train station in Copenhagen. The hotel is very old and full of character, however the rooms are very dated and small. The bathrooms are particularly nasty - not very clean and the shower is so small that there is no way to avoid the...

The rooms are at best described as average. The wet rooms are not designed properly so the whole bathroom becomes wet after taking a shower. On top of this, I had prescription medication removed from the room, as well as my toothbrush. I would never stay in this hotel again, absolutely shocking!!!

Stayed here on a deal with a travel company. I have read the other reviews and here are my thoughts. It's an older hotel, the decor is a little tired and dated. We had a double room, the wardrobe is quite small and the wet room shower bijou but it is spotlessly clean, the shower works and is hot whenever...

Too many differences between pictures on the internet site and reality. Restaurant is good, breakfast too, but rooms are old, bathroom is very small and i repeat not as showed on pictures. Price is medium. Car park is too expensive. Good for one night, not more for my opinion.

Location is very good, close to the station. That is how to get to the airport and back to the question did not arise. Staff polite, a good buffet. Shower combined with toilet, bath instead of a hole in the floor, but it's not terrible. Upset that her husband forgot pants in the room and we have written the letter,...

Perfect location really and the staff were great at all times. The hotel itself is a little worse for wear, but not bad by any means. Typical scandi-breakfast, but plenty of it - a good start to the day when wandering the streets as we did. We'd stay again...

The location was great but I really cannot rave enough about the staff! During each encounter (checking in, asking about local restaurants, transportation and sights, breakfast and checking out) the staff were brilliant. Fluent in English and very informed about the city. Each time we dealt with someone different but there was always a kind face ready to help any...

A hotel which cannot fullfil the expextation comming with the name "Grand Hotel". Old and unr-down, it needs to be fully renivated and modernized. Small rooms with dated equipment. Service personnel has to be exchanged. The only plus there is, it the relatively good location. all in all, a major disappointment. Lodging at 2-star-level at overpriced rate.

Really disappointed with our stay here, far from the 4* described. Very drab and outdated. Very close to Tivoli less than 2 minute walk but a real 30 minute hike to Nyhavn where all the bars etc are. Very clean and staff friendly, but nothing special. Would look elsewhere next time.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
