We had a reservation for July 19-21, 2010 and were forced to cancel due to an injury related automobile accident. The Hotel Opera, especially Mr Thomsen has been very gracious in adjusting our stay to July 2011. All my contacts with Hotel Opera have been courteous and prompt in response. I have checked maps of Copenhagen and the Hotel Opera...

When we decided to spend a romantic bank holiday weekend in Copenhagen I was quite taken aback by the fact that no hotel seemed to come out of the tripadvisor reviews unscathed - except perhaps the gorgeous but exorbitantly priced and seemingly always booked up Hotel Nimb. In fact we had already cancelled one trip to Copenhagen due to the...

Dear Sirs, First of all thank you very much for submitting your comments on TripAdvisor. I appreciate feedback from our guests as it helps improve our service and product. I agree that our Tourist rooms are small but we also have much bigger rooms at Hotel Opera. The rooms at Hotel Opera are larger then the average room in a...

What a treat! A small European hotel that was clean friendly and in a great location. Near Metro and Nyhaven and restaurants and attractions. Nice to be in a smaller hotel that made you feel like you were really somewhere special in Denmark. Big amreican hotels are fine but sterile. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was perfect. Location...

Easy to reach hotel with free internet., just took the subway from the airport to Kongen Nytorv and walked for 150mtrs. Unfortunately no coffee making facilities or minibar. Roomsize was good, but layout was not standard, there is no doubt this is an old building. Worst part is the noise, noise from the rooms above, noise from the rooms on...

Dear Sirs, Thank you very muck for writing a comment on TripAdvisor! I am very sorry to read about your unfortunate experience in regards to noise from outside and next door. We have rooms facing away from the street which are quieter. I hope to be able to welcome you a second time at Hotel Opera. Best regards, Robert Thomsen...

I visited for a 4 day meeting, and stayed 5 days longer because of the flight cancellations due to the volcanic ash cloud. The Opera is an old building, and perhaps the rooms could benefit from updating. The location is superb, just a few minutes walk from the historic Nyhaven area, shopping streets and the metro. What really made this...

Dear Sirs, First of all thank you very much for submitting your comments on TripAdvisor. I'm glad to hear that you had a good stay with us even though it was longer...

Stayed at the Hotel Opera for 4 nights from 4/9 - 4/13. It is just a few minutes walk from the subway stop. We walked a round a bit because the the view of the front was blocked by construction and we did not realize we had passed it. I was a worried about construction noise but like everything else...

I agree that our Small Double rooms are small, and therefore we sell them even cheaper than our other Standard Double rooms, so our guests can choose. Many of our guests do not need a big room because they like you - only use it to sleep in, but we also have other room categories. It is possible to book...

We got stuck with a very small, smelly and filthy "broom-room" with electric cables uncovered on the filtihy carpet. When we informed what was going on, the staff and later also manager shouted : 'this is what you get'. We were very unhappy that we paid in advance and were delivered to these crooks.
