I just completed a 5 day stay at Hotel Nebo. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros- very convenient location. Short walk to The Stroget or the wonderful meat packing district.
Relatively quiet with the windows closed (see below)
Our family stayed the night before our NCL cruise. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Our room was very hot and there was no air conditioning. We had to leave the window open and the street was very busy and loud all night long....More
Hotels are expensive, but if you are willing to trade some comforts, you can stay in a great location with less expense than other hotels. We spent two nights at Nebo in an economy room (which means shared toilets and showers with others staying on...More
Returning to Copenhagen almost 4 years (July 2014) later we were shocked how expensive hotels in Copenhagen had become. Almost double our 2014 experience. This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and
hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
