A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Very atmospheric with it's original warehouse beams and brickwork. The food is excellent. Handy for Nyhavn, the Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace, Opera House and Theatre.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is very central to the sites so it was easy for us to walk to them and the nearby restaurants and a Christmas markets. We skipped to extra paid breakfast as pricey and a bit over the top. The historic buildings made for very charming rooms.

A good hotel, with a great location right next to st. Anne Place, Nyhamn and a short walk from the Little Mermaid. The rooms is not luxury, but quite alright. Good beds, showers in the tub, zero heat in the bathroom and noise from the bar and the street. Good service, not great. The people in the reseption could be...

It has truly beautiful rooms in a historical building. The interior decor are true to the original structure of building. Super cozy. Location is great, close to Nyhavn. I will definitely go back and stay here whenever I visit Copenhagen again

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a nice time. Stayed in a suite where the bed was up a small flights of stairs, rooms are a tad dated with a Scandinavian touch. I wouldn't say it was luxury. However, the bar staff were all excellent and mixed our drinks just the way we liked them, the only thing that...

Must admit we didn't stay at this hotel, but booked it for a surprise for someone else's birthday. When I contacted the hotel a few weeks ago to inform them I received an email asking me to send a copy of my credit card for them to take payment. I found the tone of the email rude (perhaps it was...

top floor room on split level under eaves with steep steps up to sleeping area. Reception staff very helpful. Tiny sauna and steam room a little disappointing. Bike hire a little chaotic. Great location though.

This is a lovely conversion of an interesting old building within walking distance of pretty much everything. It's lovely at Christmas, lovely decorations and really cosy. Checking in was a bit chaotic and not the warmest welcome, our reservation couldn't be found, we heard the receptionist telling other guests that there would be a loud lobby party and so they...

Hotel has a fabulous location on the waterfront in Nyhavn just a few minutes walk from the metro. Great lobby and bar area. Bar staff very friendly and welcoming. Reception staff variable. Be aware that the hotel is very noisy at weekends. Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathrooms and plumbing needs updating.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
