This is one these hotels where you notice a solid sense of professionality, very northen Europe oriented. Quality meant mostly as reliability of intrinsict level of premises, as well of services. Price wise, absolutely in line with european standards.

I am half way through my stay and I am already fed up with large numbers of conference attendees clogging up the hotel amenities and making noise. Last night the hotel played music downstairs until 1am, for a conference. NOT ACCEPTABLE! I am paying for a room to sleep in and that's not possible when the hotel plays its own...

Excellent location. The room was ok. The bathrom was ok. The wifi worked well. The service was not good at all, before and during our stay. We stayed here for a weekend, but will choose another hotel next time.

This was a return visit, and generally a more positive one. Again a waterside room, but much bigger and more comfortable, and quieter. Luck of the draw. I was also struck the very friendly and efficient front desk staff. Breakfast very choice good self service. I was a little worried to see construction on the wharf in front of the...

The hotel - a renovated grain warehouse of the XVIII century - is impressive, even inside, where you can see the suggestive old beams of the warehouse in sight. The location is good, close to Nyhavn and not far from the Stroget and Amalienborg. This time (the second we have been there) we have occupied a De Luxe Double Room...

This hotel was in an ideal location to visit the Palace (within a 5 minutes walk) and the Little Mermaid (20 minute walk). Even catered for gluten free in the restaurant. Staff were really friendy and helpful.

This trip was to find distributor(s) for our products, it was two centre based. Denmark was first and this hotel was homely and first class. Situated by the inland water, great for fresh air walks and charming interior. The history of the building could fill a journal, this was a gigantic barn conversion!!! Exposed beams everywhere and lighting to complement....

Room was fine, bathroom was a bit small, but overall comfortable. Good location with Nyhavn and other landmarks close by. Lovely walking along the wharf area next to hotel also. We had dinner in Salt restaurant which was expensive and a little disappointing.

The Admiral rooms are a nice size, though the two-level "family" room is a bit tight for older kids. It is in a good location, centrally located to major attractions like Amalienborg, Old Copenhagen, The Marble Church, and the Little Mermaid Bronze. The inclusive breakfast is amazing. The hotel's restaurant Salt is very good for dinner. Service is excellent and...

My husband and I splurged a little to stay at the Admiral and it was well worth it. The location was perfect -- near the action of Nyhavn but just far enough away to be quiet. We were glad we turned down the offer of an upgraded room (larger and with a water view) for just a little bit more...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
