Stayed for 4 nights earlier this month and was impressed. Comfortable reception area and of course cosy hour and a free glass of wine. ( should really offer a non alcoholic alternative) Rooms have all you require. There is an inner courtyard so ask for a room overlooking that if you want a quiet room. Breakfast is quite expensive but...

Dear Travelon Great that you in many ways appreciated our hotel! Regarding Cozy Hour: It's a daily event at 5pm in the afternoon, where we offer a drink and an opportunity for our guests to socialize. Sometimes it may be a glass of red wine, but it could be eg. an organic beer also or perhaps a cup of tea....

i needed to find 5 rooms for 4 nights whilst we were at a conference at the Bella Center and after looking searching the next some 9 months in advance I did get a call from the hotel to ask if I would move due to overbooking. I had actually advised others to stay here which they duly did. The...

Dear Seuke8441 Thank you for your review. I am so glad that you stayed with us anyway, and that you didn’t have to move, if I get it right(?). I am sorry though that you ended up in a small room. But as you write yourself, we do have many large rooms as well, and usually you choose your room...

I spent two nights in Copenhagen last week. I booked the trip last minute and was able to pay for the hotel using British Airways Avios points, which was a huge bonus. The location was ideal for me: walking distance to all the sights but tucked away from the noise of busy streets. I arrived at the hotel to a...

Kong Arthur Hotel is a smart hotel occupying several different buildings. The style is distinctive, simple blend of modern with some historic features. The central courtyard was nice - especially during hot weather as it offered shade and space to cool off. The staff are /were the best attribute of the KA. Made great suggestions for dinner (which were superb)...

Dear Tomedenvale Great that you enjoyed your stay! We just love your description of the hotel. Regarding the heatwave last summer: We had almost 3 weeks of really hot weather in Copenhagen in 2014 and we had to offer fans at all rooms to rectify the heat, because as you write, AC is not a standard equipment at our latitudes....

We live in Copenhagen but decided to celebrate my 40th birthday with a night on Kong Arthur's "spa floor". It is fun to be a tourist in one's own city. :-) We had a junior suit, which was ok but small. The room service menus were outdated (we found out when we tried to order) and not very interesting. We...

Dear guest Great that you enjoyed your stay! Regarding the room service menus, will we check up on them today. We do offer room service from Sticks’n’Sushi and you can have all they have at their menu. It should be really good, unless you doesn’t like neither sushi nor sticks. We are glad you liked the spa floor and your...

The hotel is set back from the road in a quiet location, with views of the river. It is well situated for exploring the city, within walking distance of Norreport Metro and train stations and various bus routes, as well as the old town and Rosenborg Palace. Dear Maria Thank you so much for your review. We are delighted to learn that you liked it here with us and we love your description of Hotel Kong Arthur and the breakfast buffet, which I have to add to, are mostly featuring organic produce. This was my request accompanying the reservation: "Second honeymoon" as first was a bit of a bust" - what we got, no view, handicapped room under staff quarters, who pounded around at all hours, asked if we could be moved, told they would get back to us the next day, never heard a word, back hurts, not anywhere near anything

Dear Chris I am so sorry that you didn’t like your room. Actually some think it’s a very nice room, because it’s very large with a separate sleeping area and because it has a private terrace and direct access to the courtyard. I don’t know why you got the impression that it was under a staff quarter, which it is...

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Kong Arthur is situated right between the beautiful inner lakes of Copenhagen and the buzzing downtown, only 15 min. from the airport by metro. The style is exclusive and modern with a hint of medieval - we call it a mix of rustic and chic. The atmosphere is cozy and informal: A lit fireplace, comfy sofas, pillows in the window sill, a stack of books on the shelves, beautiful courtyards adorned with green plants, cobbles and a unique peacefulness. ... more   less
