Had a lovely stay after getting a good deal on E-bookers. Only paid for an economy double without breakfast (as breakfast sounded collossally expensive). Original room was quite small, but clean and nice andfor an economy room, certainly good value. In the early morning we were awoken by the sound of gushing water. After reading a lot of the bad...

We stayed here for 4 nights over New Years and it was ok. The staff were friendly and happy to help where they could, unfortunately on a couple of occasions we were misdirected and had to ask different staff too get the right directions. The room and bathroom were tiny, the shower in particular was terrible as it flooded the...

Had a layover in Copenhagen and were set up at the Kong Arthur for one quick night. Staff was very friendly and mapped out for us several restaurant options for dinner. Room was very clean, completely ready for us with the rollaway we'd requested for our daughter, very quiet on the courtyard, and warm. We loved the split comforter! Bathroom...

Beautiful hotel in the center, close to torvhallarna in Copenhagen. Rooms were small but nice and clean. The spa costs extra but was well worth the money. Breakfast was truly Danish, very rich. I would stay here again.

The main asset of this hotel is its location - just out of the centre yet not dislocated from it, as most of the city attractions are in walking distance. Close to Norreport station, it benefits from a view over to the lakes which was made particularly special by the Danes' love of fireworks! Our room was of a good...

Five of us stayed here for four nights over New Year. The biggest plus marks for the Hotel Kong Arthur are the staff, all of whom were extremely polite, helpful and very friendly. The location is also really good and it's not far from most major sights in the relatively compact Copenhagen city centre. The regular Cozy Hour from 5-6pm...

The positives are the location and the staff and extremely friendly and helpful some great recommendations for restaurants. The lobby area is nice and the bar has a good selection and isn't overpriced. The negatives the bathrooms and rooms need updating, The drains need sorting as the smell coming from the bathroom was not pleasant. Our safe was also not...

We stayed for three nights at the Kong Arthur to enjoy a festive start to the Christmas holidays. The hotel is a delightful mix of contemporary design with lots of medieval décor - the suit of armour in the lobby/bar even had his Santa hat on! The hotel is multi-level even on the same levels so there are various stairs...

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Kong Arthur is situated right between the beautiful inner lakes of Copenhagen and the buzzing downtown, only 15 min. from the airport by metro. The style is exclusive and modern with a hint of medieval - we call it a mix of rustic and chic. The atmosphere is cozy and informal: A lit fireplace, comfy sofas, pillows in the window sill, a stack of books on the shelves, beautiful courtyards adorned with green plants, cobbles and a unique peacefulness. ... more   less
