This hotel is very conveniently located about 2 blocks from the central train station. The trains from there run every few minutes directly to Terminal 3 at the airport. The staff at the hotel are very accomodating and pleasant. The breakfast is quite good with a selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, breads, fruit, etc. The room we were in...

Hotel Ansgar My wife and I cannot praise the front desk staff enough. They were always curteous, friendly and most helpful. They greeted everyone with a smile and their helpful recommendations were always provided with understanding and curtesy - and this refers to every one of them. The room was small but adequate and the location is central and not...

I was here for 2 nights in feb with friends. We were there for the football and spent most of our time visiting bars so the hotel was only really used for a bed and a room to leave our bags. The lobby area and restaurant were nice and clean though there was no hot breakfast on offer. The rooms...

It is clean, having a good service, lacated near the central part of the city, but ... You can't rely on the staffs! They promised me to keep my important letter til I come back again. I asked them and after their approval, I trusted them But they did not do it!!! Maybe it doesn't seem important, however this formal...

After having been through an extensive research of hotels in Copenhagen, we decided that the Ansgar was the best compromise for price, location and facilities. Copenhagen hotels are very expensive, so also the Ansgar (being a 3 stars) is not cheap, when compared to other European nations. The hotel is near the train stations which is good for the train...

Recently returned from Copenhagen with my teenage son and stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is just round the corner from the Central Station and close to Tivoli Gardens. The hotel itself is very clean and modern and the double room, although a bit small, had a flat screen TV and very comfortable beds. The staff were...

A great option if you want a decent hotel for a good price. Excellent location right behind the railway station. Small, but clean and modern rooms. Nice breakfast.

When we booked our room, I asked if we could book a double, and let our 3 year old toddler sleep in a cot or our bed. No go, we had to book a triple room and pay for our son as an adult. Other hotels in Copenhagen wouldn't have charged for the toddler, but we stuck to Ansgar because...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
