Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Nice, clean, elegant, simple rooms - all similar. Perfect for my business trips to CPH. Located 500 m. from metro station, with 12 min. ride to CPH airport. Lots of dining options in the area, in all genres.

The hotel is located in historical downtown of Copenhagen. Major tourist sites, shops, restaurants, and transportation hubs are within short walking distance. However, besides its great location the hotel is very mediocre. The room was very small and basic, although pretty

Dear Alexfatty, Thank you for the review. I am very sorry that you have had an unfortunate experience with the heat in the room. It is of course regrettable. Even more, I regret the lack of guest service that you have experienced from the reception staff. Of course, this is not our normal standard for providing guest services and we will work to improve that in the future. I hope you will give Wakeup Borgergade another chance at another time when we can show our high level of service.

Stayed here before alone - but this time with my wife. Rooms are very small, bathrooms too. It is clean and nice, beds are OK. It is very quiet and the only minus is lousy quality of the pillows. Buffet breakfast is simple - but has all the necessities so actually quite OK.

The hotel is easy to find and the check-in was easy as well. Upon arrival, the rooms were not ready, because we were early, but we had the choice to leave the bags in lockers or pay for an upgrade to the more quiet rooms. We opted for the more quiet rooms and I slept like a

We always try to improve in all areas and that is why I am happy for your feed back. It is of course regrettable that your towels were changed every day, despite you hanging them up. You should definitely go by Metro train. Station is clearly marked in the airport, a ticket for 36 DKK/5,60 USD takes you to station Kongens Nytorv in 13 min. From there an easy 7 min walk.

Is there a hair dryer and coffee maker in the rooms?
No coffee, no tea maker; I think there’s a hair dryer. Shampoo/body wash combo dispenser is in the room but no hair conditioner and no other amenities. No facial tissue. Communal iron is in the basement. A single pillow for the single room. No safe in room but I think there’s a paid locker somewhere else in the building.
