We were up graded to a room facing the river with a balcony and the view was tremendous. The service was excellent and the staff on reception very helpful. The breakfasts were very good and it was an easy walk along the river to all the main attractions of Copenhagen

My friends and I stayed here for a couple of nights as a girly getaway. We were meant to stay at a friends in Malmo but last minute changes meant looking for a hotel. At the last minute, this was the most affordable and within our budget. The hotel is very nice and clean. Modern i terior with pieces of...

I spent a weekend in this hotel placed next to the new bicycle bridge and near Dybbølsbro Station. It is a modern hotel with an anonymous interior. The check in was quick but with no smile or welcome feeling. We stayed at the second floor facing the water. Some rooms have a balcony, but we were also able to open...

Thank you for your review and for staying here. We are sorry that you did not like our modern, Scandinavian design. We are very sorry that you also found our breakfast selection disappointing. We think that our breakfast buffet is quite large and appealing. Thank you for using our fitness room which is also very modern. There is a nice...

We recently spent four nights at the Island prior to a cruise of the Baltics. The room was nice-ready for early check-in!-albeit small. The bed was really two twin beds pushed together, I liked it but my husband was not entirely comfortable. There was barely room for us and our luggage in the room. The whole place was very clean...

Thank you for your review of your stay with us. From your review it seems that you stayed in one of our standard twin rooms. You are always welcome to buy an upgrade to one of our rooms with harbour view. We also have rooms with double beds. On our breakfast buffet we have a wide selection of bread, pastries,...

I was staying in the hotel for 10 days for my job. It is a VERY good place to stay in Copenhagen: it has a very good location and the quality of service is on top level. Rooms are very nice and fresh, with comfortable beds and have everything you may need. Choose a sea view room - that`s really...

We spent three nights at the Copenhagen Island Hotel and were very pleased with our choice. Considering our rooms were good value by Copenhagen standards, the quality was very good and the rooms were comfortable and clean. It's not located in the most attractive of areas, but the building's modern architecture is very nice, and the hotel seems to be...

Thank you for taking your time to review your stay. It does not seem that we received any requests for adjoining rooms for your reservations. Otherwise we would have tried to allocate rooms according to your requests. At the moment we only offer tea/coffee facilities in some of our rooms (junior suites, executive rooms and some superior rooms) but from...

The hotel is nice and modern with spacious rooms. The location is nice almost on the water with a boat to city center. Nice views form the restaurant. The extra charge for rooms with canal view is worth the experience.

Enjoyed our stay here overlooking the harbor. The rooms are a bit compact, but very typical Danish modern efficiency. The beds are a little bit soft, but when we mentioned this to the staff, they kindly added some boards to the bed which made it a bit more comfortable. The hotel has bikes available to rent so it is convenient...

Stayed for one night in 4440 for business trip. A quick and friendly check-in into a good room with a nice view on the harbour. A good dinner in the restaurant in the hotel. Copenhagen Island hotel is nice, neat and clean hotel. I stayed there for 10 days. The location is nice overlooking canal. Though you have to pay DKK200 extra for those rooms. Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
