We used to frequent this holiday a lot. We planned a camp here one weekend only to turn up and find the camp was closed to the public . There are still signs up on the highway saying this is a holiday park as well as signs at the park for reception. There is no reception anymore. Very sad this...

Decided to go kayaking on lake rotoiti and thought it would be nice to stay at the lake rotoiti Holiday Park as the only holiday park in the area. However found sign on gate when we got there saying that park was now closed to the public and was leased out to permanent residents. Don't bother going here as now...

I have just spent 3 days here for a relaxing weekend away. Quite a small camp compared to what we usually go to, but still very good. Only a 1/2 min walk to lake edge from the site we had (No. 8). Good TV room, not that we used it at all. Spa Pool available for use for a few...

Views of the lake from the room, linen towels and coffee provided, shower and toilet in same block, kitchen and barbeque area right there as well. Sky movies and sports, canoes, a spa pool set on the lake edge and friendly accommodating hosts. Awesome value at $60 a couple per night!

I have stayed at Rotoiti holiday park on and off for the last 12 years, Its a great setting and really suits a fishing/boating weekend away. The facilities are reasonably tidy and do the job. I have always found the hosts to be very accommodating and helpful till our last stay. Your current "Manager" is a shocker and really needs...

Recently spent 3 weeks in NZ travelling around. Due to some festival in Taupo were booked into Lake Rototiti Holiday Park for 2 nights by isite centre in Taupo. The park is virtually a fishing camp. Cabin was cleanish but that is the best we can say. Beds uncomfortable, No running water in kitchen, Had to wash dishes where fish...

We have stayed here every January for at least two weeks for a great number of years and have seen it improve over those years. If you love getting out on your boat fishing, skiing or just generally puttering around there is a jetty and a boat ramp for your use at a cost. We now stay in clean cabins...

We spent Easter Weekend at the camp. The accommodation suited us well because we spent most of our time boating. It has its own jetties which means the boat can be left on the water for the duration. The managers were very friendly and helpful.

“There is one motel unit on site, so book early. We stayed in a self contained cabin, which had kitchen, dining, toilet and bathroom facilities. It was mainly one room with the toilet and shower in a separate room.”
